These are the stories I like to hear....when someone has just picked up their first Vette....and your timing was impeccable as you got the most expertly engineered generation....with the motor where it should be and everything.....
Great photo....that new CMG paint shimmers even under artificial light.
Be sure to follow the break-in instructions in the owner's manual to the letter....once that tach gauge rotates to it's post break-in range at 500 miles, you are then ready to get after it!
Hi all, I finally purchased my very first corvette. I’ve wanted one since I was a child, really a dream come true.
2024 HTC Z51, Ceramic Mettallic Gray, Sky Cool Gray Int, Q99 wheels, Edge Red Calipers, Front Lift, Mag Ride
Congrats. Looks great! Have a lift n my C8 Z51 and it's on order for my E-Ray. Have many places in town to restaurants, etc memorized.
You'll find the Forum has lots of info you won't find it in the Owner's Manul or Videos. In some cases, it's there but hard to find or confounded. Especially true of required Maintenance!
Just a heads up, the OLM is the ONLY thing to use as to when to change engine oil. It's very sophisticated and also keeps track of time. Depending how much you drive it will display a message on the dash when there is about 10% oil life left. If you don't drive many miles per year that will be about 11 months from now as it must be changed a minimum of every 12 months. Can't miss the message on the dash as it requires you to press OK to get rid of it every time you start the car. It will count down the percents as the 12 month progresses.
Thanks for all the helpful tips everyone. I was most concerned about the color dye transfer but I’ve been especially careful. Already conditioned/treated the seats.
Actually not that bad, maybe it depends on the jeans? I have been wearing jeans every day in my daily driver since May (sky cool grey interior) and I cleaned them for the first time today and you could hardly see anything on the left bolster, where your butt rubs every time you get in or out. So in my opinion, not something to worry about, just clean the seats once in a while with something designed for leather seats and you'll be ok.
