Are people still paying over MSRP for a new C8? I’ve got a car I ordered that I can’t really afford, but… if I could still get get a premium by selling it, I might go ahead and get it. And yes I know I’m part of the problem- lol.

you will not get a premium by selling it. Any sane person is not paying over MSRP for a new C8. You can order one now at MSRP and have it in a few months. Those days are over.

I do not know if people are sane but I see C8 being sold for premium by local dealers last month.
The resale market has softened significantly and I predict you will lose money if you try to flip a Stingray. I just received my Z06 allocation and put my 70th Anniversary Z51 HTC up for sale with only 495 miles. It is listed below MSRP and is not selling.
Some dealers are still getting more than MSRP for a new C8. Getting enough for a used C8 to cover the cost of the car and sales taxes isn't going to happen these days.

I tend to agree - I would not pay over MSRP for a C8 - I can wait a few months to get the car. But, there may be some buyers that want it right now and will pay the premium.
I paid MSRP and with taxes etc. I would have to get at least 10K over MSRP to break even. Buuuuut..... If anyone wants a 23 HTC 3LT for $130K, I'll talk.
There are plenty of dealers selling in-stock C8s for MSRP. With taxes and fees, you will not be able to make money. If you cannot afford it, I would not buy it.
Depends where you live. In CA where I'm at they are still going for over but after you figure in taxes I don't think you'd end up with much and it would be risky.

The days flipping and selling it private for over MSRP are long gone...
And why go through the hassle of paying tax and registration and then have to resell it? Makes no sense to me...Just walk away...

So what kind of scam are you trying to pull off? I looked at your previous recent posts and you indicate you own a C8 and are trying to trade it for a C7 or a '94 or '95 Corvette. Now you're saying you have a C8 on order. What kind of racket are you doing and what exactly are your intentions?
I’ve got a car I ordered that I can’t really afford, but…
You can't take delivery without paying sales tax and license. And some insurance post delivery presale. So add 10% to your resale price to breakeven. Plus your time and aggravation. Worth the worry you'll be wrong for a precious few bucks?
And haven't you answered your own question about taking the car?
