I found a used one on a (non-chevy) dealer lot and was very upfront with the salesman on a weekday morning. Gave him forty bucks and we were both happy.
Turo has a limited selection in my area so I was looking at $300 there. Carmax was another option but they never had stock whenever I looked.
I test drove a used 2022 and was hoping I would not like it. I would have ordered my 2024 from them if they had a wait list of less than 7-8 months. I ordered one at their "sister" store across town and had it in less than two months. I really like it!
I could not even get to sit in one let alone drive it....fortunately, a gentleman that I met at his business fixed that. We were taking about his car and I told him I have mine on order but have never driven one (I have owned multiple cars from C2, C3, C5, C6, and one C7). He gave me his address and told me to come over and I could drive one of his....so I did. His wife has a HTC and he has a coupe. He gave me the keys and said "tear it up, not my car, it hers". Not to be rude or insensitive, that's exactly what I did.
What state do you live in? I would bet someone nearby is willing to take you for a ride.
What are your preferences: 1/2/3 LT, Coupe/HTC, Z51, color....
No need to pay over MSRP!
You and your wife will be able to find a dealer with a new C8 in stock if you are flexible with the options.
If you can wait 3 months, order the exact optioned car you want.
A test drive probably wouldn't happen but it is possible.
A test drive is only going to make you and your wife want one even more.
Good luck.

I’m in North East Oklahoma about 45 minutes North of Tulsa.

I didn't test drive my C5 C6 C7 or C8. I am of normal size, but getting bigger, so fitment was never an issue. I would read professional drivers reviews of the vehicle beforehand to get an idea of the ride/performance. The newness always obscured my "feel" of the test ride.

Same here. First drive of C5, C6, C7 and C8 generations were when my car arrived at the dealership. I haven't been disappointed yet. Not saying that a test drive wouldn't have been nice, but the opportunity never presented itself.
Why do you need a test drive? You know you want one and forums + YouTube contain enough information to pick your options. Just go to MacMulkin and place your order already!

I wouldn't want to buy a car without at very least setting in one first. Knowing your going to enjoy it before dropping 70k plus is just common sense. A vehicle purchase should be more informed than just pure emotion in my opinion, especially at that price point.
I have bought dozens of cars without in cases even seeing one in person. Not uncommon in the more exotic car arena or for cars with limited runs or small dealer networks. With very few exceptions the purchase worked out, and while I did drive my C8 before I bought it was the first one I had ever sat in. I do think that if possible you should take a test drive especially with a car like the C8, since like most sports cars there are compromises (getting in and out, visibility, comfort) that some people may find they cannot live with. I remember when I bought my 4C a friend was very excited to drive it and he loved the looks when he was done taking it for a ride he said how can you drive this thing it is uncomfortable the steering is so heavy it is loud and you feel every pebble on the road. I said exactly that is why I will never part with it. Good luck in your search op

Exactly. When I bought my Raptor I thought I wanted the Recaro seats but sat in them during a test drive and hated how they felt, so went with their standard seats. Would at least want to sit in the car lol.
