This whole thread makes me wonder what Z06 owners and going to run into with the LPO Scrape Armor radiator screens that requires the front clip/bumper assembly to be removed, especially dealers that don't have a body shop. I would want any line mechanics trying to figure out how to remove the front bumper without damaging paint around headlights, etc.
Saw your post after I posted above. Fortunately the small Chevy Dealer who will do my E-Ray PDI has a body shop on the same site. I'm sure the service manage will have them do it. Not sure how much they get paid but needs to be more than the $200 difference from the Scape Armor MSRP and the $895 cost for the option.
We had that discussion when the official GM method to replace my Trunk Motorized pull down required removing the rear fender, He said he knew the Tech could do it but his best guy and could not afford him spending the time. Teck found a way to replace the parts I needed without removing the bumper.
Their body shop manager did a great job having two small dirt spots under the clear coat the service manger found on my 2017 Grand Sport when it was delivered. Great folks so confutable they will do a good job. Lots of bolts etc to be removed and put back. Many 3M adhesive brackets to attach.
Not to get off- topic too far, but does anyone know if those Jake decals on the back of the car are included in the R package or not?..
No, they are not. They are a Z06 LPO option. However, you can order them from several 3rd party vendors and they look pretty good on a C8 Stingray. Sorry for going off topic.
