For 3LT owners is loose door panels a reported issue - leather bond separates from door panel? In video attached is what the owner is experiencing actually a defect or normal?

My 2 cents: NOT NORMAL. I just checked mine (passenger and driver) and both did NOT have that "looseness" in the video you posted.
Mercedes had the same problem with the R171 SLK in the early 2000s. The leather would pull away from door similar to dash shrinkage issue. But having it happen on such a new car is disheartening. If I get another C8 I may just opt for a 2Lt or hell even a 1Lt if doing so avoids the auto start stop and adaptive cruise if/when that gets added.

3LT in my C6 and C8. No problems. I wish the C8 3LT didn't use Alcantara suede...a potential cleaning problem.
About auto start stop. The dual clutch transmission is one of several reasons auto start stop has not been forced on the C8. When the engine is not running, the DCT loses hydraulic pressure to operate. Auto start stop would mean a loose of hydraulic pressure would force the tranny into park every time the engine stops. A separate electric hydraulic pressure pump would be required to keep the DCT "alive" when the engine is off/not running.
