I use the rear view mirror camera exclusively. There are 3 adjustments for the picture one of them for the magnification.
I have tried and tried but can not figure out which one gives the same distance as the regular mirror. I use the camera to give me an accurate picture of how close the vehicle behind me is when I need to move over.
How many bars do you think are needed to accomplish this?
Not how many bars do you use -but how many bars to get the most accurate distance of the car behind you.
I have the Sandyeggo Design mirrors on each side so I can't use them due to their perspective.
I run it at the highest magnification. (That statement is unclear, but I don't know how to fix it. I want the view to be NOT looking way back so the cars are the biggest in the view as I can get) This is closest to what the mirror shows, but still no quite there. .. If you start pushing the buttons I think its the one on the left side and you will see the view getting closer and closer. The cars are still a bit further in the camera than if you looked at the "mirror" but it's the best that can be done.
None of them give the same view as the regular mirror. Even the highest magnification is a wider angle of view. And the wide angle view distorts distances: cars close to you appear closer than they really are, cars farther back look farther away than they really are. That's why sometimes I switch to the regular mirror, so I can judge distance better.
