Saw a '22 offered for sale online. Car placed in service a little over a year ago. It has less than 400 miles on the clock. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I've always been skittish about cars that sit in a garage without being driven.
Pulled the trigger on the car. Traded in with 353 miles. Checked the Carfax and talked to the GM, who allowed that the car belonged to a friend of the dealership owner who kept the car in a warehouse for use when he traveled to the area. Owned it for almost two years and clearly didn't drive it much. LT2, HTC, Z51, front lift.
Get a Carfax report on it. Get the VIN and pay the money for the report. Could reveal many things, or not.
Either way, the Carfax report is always a good tool for purchasing used cars.
I sold my 2023 70th anniversary with 495 miles after receiving my allocation for my Z06 2 months after I had it delivered. In my case I hoped it would increase resale value as it allowed the new owner to be in the seat at the 500 mile changeover.

Benefit once Carafax/Vin checkout. Several months ago I bought a 2022 with 1800 miles that been inservice for 18 months. Had all the options/color that i wanted and was truly in perfect condition. The more miles the more wear and tear. Good luck with your decision.

I have purchased three of my seven Vettes with between 1,000 and 2,400 miles on them. This includes my current C8. I have never had a problem with any of the three.
I would run a Carfax on it to see what information is available on the car. As long as there has not been any major accidents I would get it strong consideration.
Jim - congrats on the C8. Low mileage and a really nice ride.

Thanks, all. I got a Carfax report and a history on the car from the GM at the dealership. Looks like it was a car that a fellow kept in his warehouse for use when he traveled to this area. He is a friend of the dealership's owner. Carfax is clean. Although the low mileage spooked me at first, the reassurance I got here helped me make the decision to pull the trigger and buy it. Just one of many reasons the Forum is a great place to hang out.
