I put these on this weekend. My neighbor owns a body shop and I had him paint them Red Mist.
I was very satisfied with the quality of the components
. I did not need to use any tape to hold them in place. I just had to pull the gasket loose that surrounds the trunk. I only had to remove 4 T-40 screw, to put on the louvered parts.
I was surprised at the view of them while looking over my shoulder out of the back window.
In the future , if I feel like " that is lot of red" I can easily paint some of it black.
A very individual thing. Maybe get some black paper and experiment. The round relief that's in the driver's side panel that "matches" the fill cap on the other side could be black to provide some balance. The louvers could be accented in black as well. Looks good overall and gives you a canvas to play with.
