It looks like the side windows are tinted.
Is there any tint on the factory glass?

They are not "tinted" per se. Mine look clear with polarization evident with sunglasses.

I fairly sure the side window glass from factory has ~70% tint...

Example:

If you put 35% aftermarket tint over the factory 70% tint you would end up with roughly 25% tint. The formula for this is: 35% x 70% = 0.245 x 100 = 24.5%

70% tinted is correct. As is the above math!

Re front windshield. I put Xpel Automotive black 70% heat rejection film on. Barely tinted but awesome heat rejection.

Windshield cuts UV down to 4%, side and rear windows down to 35%:

I had XPEL Prime XR Plus 35% tint installed on my side windows...

There is a tint within the factory windows. I don't remember the % of tint I had done to my car, but it was a tint that was legal for my state. However, after the tint was added, it was no longer legal.

I intentionally didn't go too dark because I need to actually see out of my windows at night. My BMW has windows with a darker tint, and I have to roll my windows down to see better, particularly when backing up or parking at night.

So, what you’re saying is…no need for front windshield tint for UV protection only. Good to know, I’ll just tint my side and maaaaybe interior back.

Pretty much all automotive glass has some tint to it. Not as dark as some would like, but not plain, clear glass, either.

How do I know?

I put legal tint on my car, (measured by a device at the shop) but after it was installed on my windows, it was measured again and it was technically illegal in my state.
So the stock windows on the stock C8 have a fair amount of "tint" built into them.

Do you have the specific measurements? % of the tint applied and what the reading was after install?
