Default Passenger Seat Memory

The driver’s seat was programed to desired positions when the car is started and the stop w/door opened. I assume this same feature is not available for the passenger, aside from them pressing the buttons on the door to recall seat positions. I could not find anything specific to this in the manual.

That is correct. The passenger seat doesn't respond to the fob. The logic is what if your 5'1" tall wife has the seat programmed all the way forward, and you invite your 6'4" boss to go for a ride? You start the car, and his legs get mangled.

Yes, it does make sense, but my wife sure gets tired of pressing those buttons. There should be an option to enable the auto movement with the driver's fob. That way, if I was driving it would go to position 1 (programmed for her) and if she was driving it would go to position 2 (programmed for me).

WOW! Does your wife have a finger handicap? Talk about first world problems.

Your approach still doesn't solve the issue of you getting in the car with a tall person in the passenger seat, which is set for a short person.

Put the seat full back and leave it there. Do what I do, tell wife and all passengers not to touch anything.

That's why I said it would be nice to have the option of enabling/disabling the passenger seat motion. About 95% of the time that I have a passenger it is my wife. She has a driving position set that she really likes but has to move the seat to the exit position to easily get out of the car. Thus she presses the buttons at least twice each time she rides in the car. That would irritate me if I had to do it for the driver's seat.

I have never had a memory setting on the passenger side.
