NA performance upgrades ideas
Hi all,
I am in the UK, with a UK spec 3LT HTC, which performance wise would be pretty much the same as the US spec. Some differences include GPF filters instead of AFM.
I have recently replaced the exhaust with a Borla ATAK, GPF back, which eventually I am happy with.
Currently in the process of having ECU opened via HP Tuners and looking to make as powerful NA car as I can. Don’t feel like going down the supercharger or turbo route, at least not yet.
Assuming HP Tuners can provide the right type of tune for it, what would you recommend in terms of upgrades to achieve a more powerful NA version?
Upgraded headers? Maybe another more straight exhaust? Upgraded CAI? Different injectors?
Any thoughts or ideas or perhaps a link, thread I should check out?

Naturally aspirated modification on the C8 is a waste of time and money.
Go with a twin turbo system, or a positive displacement supercharger like the 3.0L Whipple (Callaway) or a TVS2650 (Ligenfelter).
The prices are ridiculously high now. But, will hopefully come down , especially when you can buy a forced induction system through the mail.
If you want more NA power, just buy a C8 Z06.

Several tuners in the US are now offering Cam/Heads + HP Tune options these days. Exhaust, headers, etc. can also be included. You might want to check out the offerings from: Boost District, Cicio, Late Model Racecraft., and Peitz Performance websites to get some additional ideas.

If you are looking for the car to give you more throttle response go with a Soler Performance Throttle Controller (there are a few others out there). Though the car isn't technically any faster it absolutely brings it alive and makes it feel so much faster and more responsive. Those that mock it haven't tried it.......I was THE biggest skeptic for a long time, thought it was voodoo BS, then I finally gave in and got one. Holy lord, BEST cheap mod you can make to the car, period!

You will never see that much horsepower gain anymore. The car is already tuned pretty good. They just don't leave a lot on the table anymore. Filters, exhaust can add a little but it's not cumulative, it's complementary.
