Default C8 Lug Nut Question

Hello,

I originally ordered my C8 with the gloss black Q91 wheels. I also ordered the black lug nuts to go along with the wheels.

When it came to finalize the order, the Q91 wheels were on constraint, so I changed to the bright machined face Q99 wheels. I forgot to delete the black lug nuts, so they were shipped as an extra set with the car.

I would like to install the black lug nuts and see how they look with the Q99 wheels. I tried installing them on one wheel, and noticed that the profile of the black and chrome lug nuts were a bit different (see attached photo). Does anyone know if the black lug nuts will fit properly on the Q99 wheels?

Any information will be appreciated.

I have the Q99 wheels with the optional, dealer installed black lug nuts. All good.

What matters, is the taper angle. If they mate to the wheel, then your golden.

…my only complaint with the OEM black lug nuts is that the seats don’t cover up the bare silver that was left in the lug holes on the carbon flash wheels…not noticeable unless you’re looking, but still odd to me…

…just not sure why GM didn’t use the same shape lug nut as the silver ones…this is the OEM black lug nuts with carbon flash wheels;

Paint brush and black satin paint will take care of that cosmetic problem if you already have the expensive Chevy black lug nuts.

^ That is a poor look - you would think GM would have ensured that the lug nuts would have covered that up.
