Any recommendations for insurance for those of us who don't qualify for NCM insurance? I daily drive my car and so mileage is way over allowed. Been with State Farm for 10 years but the rates just keep going up every year even though no tickets/accidents. Thought it might be time to ask around.
State Farm is all over the place with rates. They wanted 3k a year from me, others here it was 1k a year, I even showed my agent one of the member's policy and they had no idea why the rates were so different. I have multi policy discounts, zero accidents/claims, tons of good driver history, was bizarre. They just don't like corvettes.
Sorry you can't do NCM, I liked it quite a bit. Hagerty and Grundy are two other options, though they may have restrictions that don't work for you either.
Go to an independent insurance agent and have them shop different insurers. They often represent numerous insurance companies. That saved me a lot of money. I was with Allstate for many years. I found out they were raping me on the premium.
I see that OP is in Az so this probably won’t apply. I have State Farm and rates are reasonable, but I’ve always dropped collision during winter storage and it drops to almost nothing for the storage period. Best suggestion from there is to shop around, especially with some not so big names that aren’t on tv.

This.
When I got my c8, Farmers quoted me 3.5k a year after having been with them for a long time. I promptly went to an independent, they shopped around and ended up many much cheaper options and landed with Travelers for less than 1k/yr.
I've used an independent insurance broker for over a decade (ever since State Farm got ridiculously high for me) and up until this most recent renewal, he was always able to get me incredibly competitive premiums. Unfortunately, that streak ended in October. I'm now with AAA insurance; Liberty Mutual came in #2.
I use an independent small town family based agent. They put me with Progressive on everything earlier this year. The vette came in higher than initially quoted back in oct when I bought it. But all of my vehicle insurance is going up in 2024. I called my agent and I even shopped around on my own and it is what it is I’m staying put where I’m at. Vette insurance is $1200 a year and the one that really burns me up is the 2023 GMC AT4X 1500 Sierra truck jumped from $706 a year to $1000 a year for 2024. Apparently that model has a lot of claims due to the off road nature of the truck and people breaking them and bending them up off road. So I get hit with the trickle down effect and I’ll never take that high dollar truck off road.
Insurance is a scam, based on so many variables for the carrier. They do many things to determine a rate for an individual. Some have nothing to do with insuring you. I hate insurance! I own 6 motorcycles most are all sport bikes which are always hit high when insuring,
Are you an AARP card holder? The Hartford offers a discount for members. At least in Florida. I pay $70 a month for 2019 C7, and the rate will jump up to $83 when I trade in for a C8 soon.

Just a suggestion, but try finding an Independent agent that can shop around multiple companies for the best rates and coverage. You might be surprised at what they can come up with.

Bay Area? Not surprised. I am at $1600 per year from Mercury who also manages my home insurance and even they are starting to aggravate me. I believe Farmers is out of California completely.
Depends on your state regulations. Texas only allows one insurance plan written by the State. All companies must comply with the State plan.
Haggerty’s agreed value plan can not limit milage driven, where it’s driven or exclude any family member from being covered.
My 16 yo son drove a 85 Corvette covered for $15k agreed value and liability coverages the same as my Corvette for $150 per year.
Have not priced the C8 with them. Allstate is about $1200 per year.
I had Corvettes with State Farm for many years, but shopped around and saved $450 a few years ago, just like the commercial said with Progressive.
Currently $1020 per year for the Corvette with Progressive. That is in Oregon.
Regardless of what other people pay, it's all about your age, driving record and zip code. You can't change that.

Yes, though I have the rest of my insurance through State Farm and they are super competitive. For some reason the Corvette, which is a garage kept toy with 5k a miles on it costs more than all my other vehicles combined (that cost more and are driven more).
My insurance rates almost doubled from a year ago. Progressive is every 6 months, at least here in TX. And absolutely nothing changed in my case: same vehicles, and zero tickets, claims, etc. Just ridiculous. I was quoted +$135 every 6 months for the C8, compared to my '23 G70 Sport Prestige RWD. So probably right around $1K per year. The LC500 and F-Type P450 RWD were $150 to $200 higher, even though the LC is a 2+2. And yes, the zip code makes a big difference. I moved 3 miles away to a different zip code, even though I drive the exact same roads, and rates came down quite a bit.
