Our Brittany Cooper loves to join me for rides in my C7 ! Sometimes he'll leave some light paw prints on the seat and slobber on the window, but nothing that can't be cleaned up in a few seconds when we get home.
I took our daughter's Chihuahua mix for a ride once...even belted in she was very hyper and her little nails put some fine scratches in the console lid. But a spray of ArmorAll took them out (I spray the interior in AA annually already...so it had a good base).
Our 11 lb poodle mostly hates the car. However, we have determined it's because he only goes for rides to the Gromer or Vet! On the way back from the Gromer, who is 25 miles away in town, when I pick him up, he's fine. Knows he's going home. In fact, on some back rural roads with farm fields both sides, no homes. no people, often no other cars; he's like Enzo in the Movie "Driving in the Rian" when he was riding shotgun on a track in a racing Ferrari! I hit triple digits and he's looking straight forward thinking he's driving.
I know, but Kona likes to stick her head out the window, so my concern is her paws/claws scratching the door panel. I would need something that completely covers the whole door.
