There are many things I like about my Corvette but road noise is not one of them. It got to the point that I was thinking of selling the car because the noise was so loud and annoying. Making telephone calls was difficult because you had to ask people to repeat what they were saying since the background noise was loud. In any event, I realized that the door gasket was improperly sealed so I added a strip of insulation gasket to the gasket on the door and what a difference it made! It improved to the point that I now can have a normal conversation with my wife and am also able to make telephone calls. This modification made a world of difference and I’m now satisfied with the ride and can truly enjoy my car.
I agree the road noise is extreme especially on some road surfaces most of the noise is a result of the Michelin run flats that resonate from the wheel wells so I don’t understand how adding an additional gasket layer can stop the road noise resonating from the wheel wells.
My car was delivered with all season tires. It’s noisy as hell in the interior while driving on the highway. Road surface makes the biggest difference. There are some road surfaces (very few I have encountered) that are quiet when driving at speed.
I’m getting together with Redcor21 in a week or so to see the difference. I’m not against quieting the passenger compartment down.

I am surprised that folks find the C8 Vette noisy. I have a 2022 Z51 2LT with the summer only runflats and on the same roads it is quieter than my wife's 2023 GMC Canyon Denali, which is actually rather quiet itself. I agree that there are certain roads on which there is a great deal of tire noise, but on the whole, I thought it was a pretty quiet car.

My non-Z51 with A/S tires was the quietest Corvette I've ever had, noticeably quieter than either my C7 Stingray or C6 ZR1, both of which had full sound-deadening kits installed. I've only put about 90 miles on my Z06, but it also seems reasonable, although definitely not as quiet as the Stingray. What year was your car, wonder if maybe they had issues and changed the design/supplier for later years?
In my case on most roads the factory all season tires have a lot of road noise. On my 370 Z I have tried multiple tires to help reduce noise to no avail.
I don't understand how that would have helped. Maybe your car had a defect and the door was not sealing right? The noise in my car is fine for me, my wife complains but only at higher speeds and it's mostly tire noise.
