So Dohabandit sent me some very informative PDFs concerning the C8, one being the 2021-chevrolet-corvette-reference-guide. I mentioned that I would NOW be able to ask more questions on a car I do not own, yet.
On page 4 is the following:
REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER (KEY FOB)
Remote Vehicle Start Press twice to start the engine from out-side the vehicle. The turn signal lamps will flash. After entering the vehicle, turn on the ignition.
Now here's the query...the last sentence. Why would I TURN ON the ignition since the engine should already be running (ON)? I
Is this a editing mistake? Or am I missing something that is C8 specific?

One of many questions I'm sure I'll ask you guys.
Hard to describe. It's "running", and the HVAC is running, but it's not "drivable" until you depress the start button. Until then, the engine is running but you can't engage drive, most controls, etc.
The process is pretty much identical for every car that has ever had remote start. With a key ignition, you'd have to insert the key and turn it to the on position and then depress the brake pedal. It follows that for cars without key ignition, you'd use a similar procedure; hence the brake + ignition button.
p.s.
Remote start...making manual owners **** themselves since the 1980s.
The purpose of pushing the ignition button is to verify that you have the fob and you are the owner. Anyone getting into the running car without the correct fob cannot drive the car away.
Saftey feature to ensure only the correct fob can make it drivable.

Thanks. It makes sense now. I guess the guide can't be explaining every little action. Just the fact to 'do it' as noted.
True, but the Owner's Manual, which you can download from the chevrolet.com in pdf form and search for "remote start" has plenty more to say about that, and everything else. https://www.chevrolet.com/support/ve...model=Corvette
[key fob remote start button symbol] : Press twice to start the engine from
outside the vehicle using the remote key.
See Remote Vehicle Start 0 12. The vehicle
can not be driven during a remote start. To
drive the vehicle, press the brake pedal, then
press ENGINE START/STOP, with the remote
key in the vehicle.
