Some help needed 2021 3LT
Jump forward, and I have a beautiful 4 year old daughter, but my marriage did not last. So at 54 years old it's just myself and my daughter whom I share 50/50 custody.
I am done with dating etc. so the need for more than 2 seats no longer applies. I have a chance to purchase a 2021 3LT Z51 with only 900 kms (559 miles) I am in Canada...
Car is listed at $106,000 Canadian (78,640 US)
I have been reading the board every day since 2020 and know about the potential dash issues, headlight paint, but can anyone let me now if this is a good deal, any other issues I should be looking for?
All help will be appreciated. BTW, I will be trading my 2019 Camaro ZL1 which I drive year round with snow tires, and YES, I would be driving the Corvette year round with snow tires.

Thank in advance for all your help!
The C8 is NOT going to throw you back in the seat like the ZL1 can. The lack of brutal acceleration in the C8 will take some time to get used to, You can feel the C8 is quicker than the ZL1 but it doesn’t show it by pinning you back in the seat.
Where the C8 shines is ride and handling. The car just feels more balanced. If I drive my C8 and then immediately drive my ZL1, the ZL1 feels like I’m driving a school bus with that big front end. But oh, the acceleration is so addicting that I can overlook that it's not as nimble as the C8.
Now don't get me wrong, I like my C8 a lot. Driving with the top-down is a ton of fun. I just personally need a little more excitement from my performance cars. Nothing beats a good butt pucker when you jump on the accelarater. The ZL1 has the butt pucker factor in spades, the C8 does not. Both are great cars in their own special way. It will take you a little time to get used to the C8 coming from the ZL1.

The car fax doesn't say much, except that it was serviced. What was done? Get the VIN# and see if a Chevy dealer up there can run a history.
Good luck.

You didn’t mention if the C8 you’re considering has the front lift or mag ride shocks. Both are must- have options for me. I use the front lift almost every time I drive my C8. The ZL1 has mag ride shocks so I personally couldn’t own a C8 without them.
You’re facing a bit of a maintenance pickle with the transmission. Even though the car ony has 559 miles, it is reaching that 3 year mark. Chevy says the DCT transmission fluid needs replaced every 45,000 miles or three years which ever come first. You’re looking at $450 US dollars in fluid alone plus two to three hours in labor cost. Then you're going to have to have the primary transmission filter replaced at 7500 miles because that's when GM says the transmission if fully broken in. I'm coming up on three years of ownership of my 2021. It has just over 10,000 miles. I had the transmission fluid replaced in December prior to living in Florida for four months. All I can say is the maintenance on this DCT is crazy. I would definitely check with GM and/or your Dealer on the transmission fluid change for a three year old car with only 559 miles. You don’t want to give GM an excuse to void your warranty, especially on that transmission.

Thank you for all the information you provided

Maybe supply/demand in Canada warrants this, but not here anymore. Also, as I stated, find out what was serviced.
Best of luck. You'll love it no matter what.

The good news is that I PAID $80,000 Canadian for my 2019 ZL1 and they offered me $73,000 on the trade in...
I really do appreciate all the comments...
would not own a C8 with an extended warranty; owner of a '20 Z51 3ltWarranty Contacts
C8's have 5 cameras, 28 modules, sensors, solonids snd the DCT.
The two go to people for warranties on the forum are Dennis Fichtner at Laurel Chevy and Todd Sutherland at MacMulkin Chevy. If you decide to get an extended warranty, send them your vin and ask for a quote; see what they can do and betting they will be at least half of a dealer quote.
I have the Platium Zero deductible 7 years 56,000 miles.
Warranties can be transferred if sold to a private party or a refund obtained on the unused portion if cancelled
I believe it must be purchased 30 days before your factory warranty expires (or before 35,000 miles) , I thinkwhichever comes first
Keep in mind there are price increases every year and the price goes up as the mileage increases.

Since the car has been sitting around it might not be the best of ideas to ignore replacing the fluids and drive it as if it is a month old.

I appreciate your input, TY
Dealers are selling (and getting) this kind of money for cars that have over 9,000 kms.
My opinions are not intended to crash the party.
Again, TY
