Default driving around

I was out the other day just driving one of my favorite curvy roads...speed limit just 35....I noticed a small car real close to my bumper...Finally there was a place he could pass and did...His car was wound up, I sure he had it to the wall...He passed me with engine roaring and going nowhere fast... I just let him go and laughed out loud. and waved as he passed..You had to have been there...Sometimes you just have to let it go... I am sure he told his buds that he smoked a corvette or he was just late for school...Have a great day...Spring is getting closer in the south..Today 67 degrees but 2 weeks ago 9 degrees.
.
The only bad thing is I have lost my key fob. Looked all over....Decided to get a locator device for this last fob. Its driving me crazy....Maybe I will get lucky and it will turn up....
2022 htc....

Ah, the stories I have . Most recent was me taking off a light in my M5 rather quickly, a few hundred feet later I notice a car approaching very fast, it passes to my left and it's an old beat up camry with some weird looking guy in it, the guy looked at me, flipped me the bird and kept going. I caught up with him at the next light but he would not look my way ( I had lowered my window to ask him wth that was all about ).

I smile when the Mustang's go by. They always drop to a low gear to rev their engine and make some noise.
I take it as a complement that they feel they have to impress me.
I laugh at the 4-bangers that rev to 7000rpm just to get out of their driveways.
Here's a wave to you to all... I need some warm weather!

My Sprite is a lot like that. I can race thru town only to keep up with traffic. It's a different experience than the C8, but still totally engaging. ............

When I first got it I was taking a country road and "zooming" along... I suddenly realized "If the police catch me going this fast I'll get a ticket for sure or worse".... I looked at the speedo and was doing almost the speed limit (just under!)...

I guess the point is that one can enjoy "performance" driving in just about anything....... even cars not particularly good at going FAST.

Zormecteon, I have watch YouTube videos of lower horsepower cars. Some of the reviewers say it is a lot of fun to use a car to it's full potential.
As much as I like a DTC, a manual transmission can be a lot a fun when going thru curvy roads 35-50.
I am not a good driver anymore, age is getting to me. I don't drive my C8 to it's potential. I really like acceleration and enjoy pushing the pedal and feeling the car respond effortlessly.
Crazy thing is, on slower curvy roads, you would always be in my rear view mirror. Enjoy your Sprite. Best wishes.

I just smile and wave; I have no need to prove myself, especially to someone I don't know. Besides no matter what you drive there will always be someone faster or quicker.

I always just let it go these days. With so many road rage incidents, you really never know what's going on their head or if they are carrying a weapon. It's just not worth it. Especially here in Florida... too many crazies.

I did have a neighbor do this one time, he was behind me at the exit to our community, wanting me to pull out into traffic. I was not in my C8, and I was waiting for a suitable opening. Once I had it and pulled out, he raced around me, furious, flipping me off, raging... with his whole family in the car. Of course a quarter mile up the road we ended up next to each other at the light. So i lowered my window and waited until he did the same... I asked him why he was so angry? I said I don't have a fast car like you, I had to wait for a space, and not for anything but we live near each other, of course we are going to see each other again. He was so embarrassed, apologizing profusely. I wouldn't do that to a stranger, but it was ridiculous for a neighbor to act this way.

Sounds like my MR2 Spyder. Such a fun car even at slow speeds. I can really drive the snot out of it and barely break speed limits. In a lot of ways its more fun than the C8! Feels like a death trap out on the roads with trucks and SUVs though.

Good judgement letting him do his thing - no sense getting into a speed contest on public roads.
