1. Buy a battery tender & see if it will recharge the battery sufficiently enough to start it
2. Buy a set of wheel dollies to move the car so you can access to the battery comfortably
There is a port in the rear for a tow eye. Thinking that the car could be dragged by the tow eye a few feet giving me access to the battery. Of course, if the car came with a tow eye, and I'm not sure that it did, it would be in the frunk and also not accessible. I'm trying to locate a tow eye. Would anyone know the thread size?
Here is one on Amazon for $34 that fits C8.
I would put some liquid soap on the garage floor the 2 feet needed behind the rear tires and pull.
If concerned about the initial "pull" before you hit the soap and don't have room for a small hydraulic race jack can buy a cheap scissor jack ($29 Amazon,) lift wheels 1/2 inch and pour liquid soap under the wheel! Easy clean-up! If you don't understand that the soap will provide low friction (it will) can buy skid pads sold for the purpose. Or a pair of these as suggested are a good idea. BUT don't be a cheapskate keep don't return them! It's your problem not Harbor Freights! Unless in CA where you can walk out without paying as $250 is under their $1000 max allowed for stealing!
If you can…take down the shelf to get battery access, then replace battery.
If the shelf can’t be removed, wheel dolly or jacks for the rear wheels. Don’t drag the car without the rear tires off the floor, you will damage the trans.
Back the car in next time if you can.
Again, my sincere thanks for the suggestions. I was able to jump start the original battery and replace it with a new AGM type. One unexplained and unexpected issue, there is no volume/sound from the radio, AM, FM, XM, or HD Radio. Ant thoughts and/or suggestions on this one.
I can say, that at seventy-eight and this being my fifteenth Corvette, I have forgotten and lost the strength to do so many things on my cars that it's quite frustrating. However, whoever gets this car in the future will find enough DNA in the copious amount of blood that I deposited in and around the new battery. The next owner may get charged with homicide! I will include a signed, notarized statement with the car explaining the blood spatter. Having spent a thirty-five year career in public and private sector law enforcement, I think the letter would be a good idea.
There's an old saying that " you can't teach an old dog new tricks". I was not a believer until today! To hell with that sense of accomplishment in fixing stuff! I can't afford the blood loss!

Try a reset. Start the car, shut off the car, open the door, and leave it open for at least 90 seconds. If that doesn't work it may just correct itself after some time.
My 2020 C8 has a dead battery. The car is currently nose in and under a shelf in a narrow garage. There was enough battery to access the interior, release the parking brake, lower the driver side window and open the "frunk". I need to move the car back about two (2') feet in order to access the battery. Problem is that I can't get the car out of park and into neutral in order to push it back. Any suggestions other than jacking it up off of the rear wheels?
AVAPOW battery pack. 6000 amps will start or power many times.
Always have one in my vehicle. So small but powerful.
worth every penny
In my opinion this is a serious safety-related design flaw. Look at the posts of people who "died" in the street or such and couldn't move the things. Absurd! Your are fortunate yours was at home.
What then is the improved design? Should a car default to free wheeling if the engine and electrical power fail, or should it default to not moving (put it in park). I don't like it either. The current design for the C8 defaults to P and requires the engine running to turn the hydraulic pump in the transmission which powers the components that will move the park pawl. I have read the ERay does this electrically - so it can move without the engine running. But that does not help if the battery is dead too. So - that leaves only a mechanical linkage - like the old days - like my 66 Pontiac - which can be put in N regardless of the engine or battery. It did fail me in an intersection. And, believe me, even in N, that thing was not going to move until the tow truck came. It was an easy load since it could be put in N. If the rear wheels were locked up, the loading would have required dollies, but it still would have been possible.
