I've done the Autozone deal a couple of times now for my 2020. You can return the filter to Autozone for a refund or credit on a different filter. But looking at the STP filter I wouldn't be concerned about using it. It is a heavy lilter and it has a metal element support (vs plastic like the PF64 but I wouldn't be concerned about using the PF64 either). The main reason I didn't use it is because the specs say it has the wrong bypass pressure but I suspect that is a typo. The numbering series is the same as Fram numbering series which is made by Champion Labs who used to make AC Delco filters (and still might make them) so the STP filters are likely made by Champion Labs. All the Fram 12060 series filters have the correct bypass pressure and I suspect the STP 12060 series does also. There is a number to call on the box for technical questions but I didn't bother calling and just returned it. I wouldn't be surprised if you called Champion Labs would be providing the technical support.
