Default C8 Corvette Wheels

Hi guys, new member here. Taking delivery of my 2024 Hypersonic Gray Metallic Stingray tomorrow. Not a big fan of the OEM 5 spoke wheels, so I'm currently looking at some aftermarket wheels. I'm also going for a more meshy style. I narrowed down my decision to these two wheels. Just want to hear your guys' insight on these two and which one you would go for.

Both too "busy" for my personal taste but the bottom would would be harder to clean than the top one. Given only two options, the top one would be my pick for that reason

I personally would stay OEM. That's just me being boring, I understand.

I agree. I am not a fan of super busy wheels. Both from an aesthetic perspective and from a cleaning perspective. I actually prefer the looks of the E5 wheel but would buy something like the top wheel. That one is 6 lugs....I assume they make a 5 lug version too....

Here is what I prefer:

That's an Apex VS-5RS forged wheel....

Of those two choices, I like the top one. Get what you like.

Yes, good catch there with the lugs. Vossen makes the HF-2 with 5 lugs, which are very similar to the HF6-3 posted above.

I’m not a fan of wheels that take an inordinate amount of time to keep clean.

I like the E5 the best but they are going to be hard to clean, especially if you get the Z51 package (brake dust)

I have E5 wheels in the Daytona titanium brushed. I had them ceramic coated and I have the Z51 package so brake dust is an issue. I just use my pressure washer and hose them off. Sometimes I have to do a little touch up but most of the time I can hose them off and go. I have seen the Sebring and it is very pretty but will definitely be harder to keep clean. I would definitely have them ceramic coated if I got them.

MRR F24's. Cleaner. Simpler. OEM Z06 design. More than 5 spokes.

Both are solid options the bottom one as stated by almost everyone above would be a real pain to keep clean but an easy way around that is just get them ceramic coated the moment they arrive

@winders I have same wheels and just waiting to get my car in a few weeks. Did you have any issues with the factory lug nuts fitting? I know some wheels do but understand that these shouldn’t

No, no problems at all. I did buy black lug nuts from ACS that I have not put on yet. My C8 is at a shop getting PPF and then ceramic coated. But, I see no reason why those won't fit too. Apex leaves a lot of room for the 22mm lug nuts and associated 22mm socket.

in about 1985 or so, when Brock Yates was the editor of motor trend, he made a statement about Wheels. He said a wheel should show as much Brake swept area as possible, and should be able to be cleaned with one swipe of a mitt.. I totally concur on both counts. I am entertaining purchasing the stance SF 03 wheel.
