I am considering using Hyper Dip to paint my exhaust tips black, but I am concerned it may effected by the heat from the exhaust. Does anyone here have experience using Hyper Dip on their tips?
there are a few YouTube videos of people using a rattle can of high temp flat back with no reported issues.
I have no idea what hyper dip is, but see if you can find what temps it is intended to be operated under. If less than say 300, I would pass myself and use the rattle can method.
I installed a Paragon touring exhaust with the black and carbon fiber tips. After a few rides one of the tips was turning a blueish color. Paragon sent me more tips and it did it again so I removed them all and put two coats of a high heat spray and then several coats of black emerald hyperdip over them. So far so good!
