Back story? We ordered our 2009 through him when he was at Random Lake and it was a perfect transaction.
It was when it was very difficult to get a C8, February 2021. He’s close and top 10 allocation dealer, so called and the dealership said “Rick’s here come on over” so we did. He was not happy to say the least and made us wait until he was done eating his popcorn. He reluctantly submitted my workbench order. Hard to believe but it went downhill from there. Never returned calls, email, texts! After 14 months (wasted time) I’d had it and when I did get in touch with him, he asked for money to move up his wait line, really?! Dug into the forum deeper and decided to go with MM. 9 months later car was built, dealership is completely transparent and fair. Transaction went flawless and the process was completely opposite of this guy. Sadly, this clown is local but I’ll NEVER do business with ANY Coughlin dealership because of him. Sorry to vent, but ya asked.
I follow him on YouTube and he appears to have received a lot of cars for delivery. He hasn't done a Tech Tuesday for two weeks. I didn't buy my car through him but when I texted him at about 10:00 PM one night he answered my questions within minuets.
I have always liked Rick. Bought 2 C6 ZR1s from him. I learned to look for factual Info and get past the goofy stuff that puts out.
His website has been out of action for some time. I just assumed he was going 100% youtube. Now today I don't see him in my list of subscriptions and his channel is "not available".
bought a C7 from Rick in 2013, the transaction could not have been easier and without even seeing my trade-in he evaluated top dollar, Rick is a bit flamboyant, but that’s OK if you back it up with good service.
