I totally get it with shipping and accept paying for it, but so many sites are showing 20% discount, then go to buy and it won't apply the discount. Sucks. I am looking to get a splitter for no more than $500 if possible. The ACS looks very nice but $799 for injected molded plastic really seems pricey.
Does anyone have recommendations on a splitter comparable to the ACS, a little more reasonable? At issue is so many out there from $100-1000, and price isn't always a guage of quality.
No need to spend a $hitload of money on these screw on items
I have a 5VM on mine that I'm sure is ABS. It is a three piece and was about $130.00 or so on Amazon or eBay, not sure and too lazy to look up the receipt. Anyway, it seems firm enough and won't break the bank if it hits anything that will break it. It is just gloss black. It looks okay to me and I have yet to have anyone grab my arm and state that it is not carbon flash. Everything looks black that low on the car anyway.
I really liked the look of it, but sometimes I think it looks like a big buck tooth. You can almost trip over the 5VM splitter. I ran a 1/4" red stripe along the length and it really gave it a nice accent. I guess I haven't taken a picture of it with the stripe.
I took a picture of the stripe.

Yep, had fiberglass aftermarket splitter on my 2014 C7, OEM Carbon Fiber on my 2017 Grand Sport, back to fiberglass aftermarket on my C8. My plan was inexpensive ABS for my E-Ray brought home this week so I could repair or replace!
I scaped the bottom of my 2014 really can't repair. Broke the Stage 2 Aero replicable Winglet on my 2017. But GM replacement cost was so high bought a larger Stage 3 in ABS painted Carbon Flashfor 20% of the GM part. Matched my Stage 2 Aero Carbon Fiber painted Carbon Flash perfectly. Good "stuff" if made well. Many OEM parts are ABS as it talks paint well. They make Lego blocks and some airplane parts from ABS because it rugged, can be repaired and cheap!
But after talking with the Tech who did my E-Ray PDI, realized the E-Ray comes with what I call a "mini splitter." Looked great.
Franky, I get aero package for one reason "side skirts" to stop pebbles on our rural roads digging rocker panes. E-Ray does not have full length side skirts and the $3500+ ground effects Opton has a Carbon Fiber Splitter and the same size 3/4 length side skirts in CF that come standard in composite. Looks like I'll have to get something I don't like, a small amount of PPF and let the standard "mini splitter" be the final.
I am not sure how many are trying to get splitters, it is getting tough. I suspect with near record sales last year it is making sales brisk. I ordered my first one from Elite Chevy and their payment methods sucked so backed out. Next ordered from Extreme via Amazon and it was supposed to be painted Carbon Flash, arrived primer finish, sent back. Next I ordered EOS splitter from Wildhammer. Sold out at EOS until April. I tried the RPI splitter, but discounts wouldn't apply and expensive shipping. Today I ordered the EOS splitter via another supplier on Amazon who has 12 in stock. It should be here in a few days. At least with Amazon it is easily returnable.
I understand the ACS is excellent but at $799 plus shipping I am working others.
I went with ACS one piece splitter painted carbon flash and added the undertray that included a reinforcement that mounts under the splitter. Gives me added strength and rigidity to the splitter with some scrap protection since I do not have front lift . Look and fit is great.
I've gone thru 3 of these, all from hitting cones at hpde and autox. None of them are repairable, you're better off going cheap. My first was from American hydrocarbon (1pc). Then I'd been buying the 2pc from EOS but recently discovered you can buy a painted 5pc directly from AliExpress for a bit over $100. I will be ordering one within the next couple of days. No complaints about EOS quality but it's almost $400 for something I know I will likely be replacing again. I need to start using pool noodles like the Porsche guys.
As someone who is just getting into autocross, I'd like to know more about the "pool noodle" angle. Do they slit open the noodle and put it over the leading edge of the splitter for protection?

I have not tried this yet, but this is my plan for my 2 cars with front spliters. First AutoX of the year is April 6. Adhesive side under the lip so after it's removed, you won't see anything left behind or the dirt that will stick to it. https://www.homedepot.com/p/K-Flex-1...8-HD/306737599

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking of. Have already used that pipe wrap to seal an old garage door so knew of the adhesive that comes with. Thanks for the reply.
