<sigh> This had better not be a sign of things to come like with my C7...
On the drive in this morning, the dash pops up a warning that the windshield camera is blocked... but it's not. No dirt, clean windshield. Of course, that rolls into warnings about the collision detection/avoidance system not working, etc. I'm anxious to know if it magically disappears when I start the car to go home.
Anyone else ran into this? Was it temporary for you?
I haven't had it happen with the C8, but it has happened in other vehicles I own. Typically due to time of day and angle of the sun shining on the camera. I wouldn't be concerned.
Good find, 1stc8... condensation may have been the cause. I didn't use the defroster this morning (didn't need it), which may have allowed whatever minor condensation was there to cause an issue. My drive is ~25 minutes, so on the edge of whether or not any condensation would take care of itself.
Same thing happened a month ago in my 2023 GMC Sierra truck. It was foggy that morning by afternoon no more message and I have not seen it since. Has not happened in my car yet.

I'll keep an eye on it.
Had this happen a few weeks ago.
Drove the car (2024 HTC) after a cold night with some light snow and freezing temps, and got the "forward collision alert disabled" or whatever the message was, and assumed it was temperature/condensation/defroster related. As the day warmed up, and I ran the defroster, it went away on it's own. There was no visible snow anywhere on the car before the drive, and I waited until the ambient temp hit 40F before heading out (summer tires).
