Anyone else experience this gap? Wondering if it's pretty common. I first noticed it a few days after installing a ACS 1VM front splitter. I don't believe it was caused by the install. Everything went smooth and lined up great. I removed the splitter just to see if it made a difference and nothing
I also installed Scrape Armor rad guards a few weeks prior but that went smoothly too. It was most likely there prior and I just noticed it. Pretty minor but the car is still parked for Winter so now is a good time to mess around
I learned to not look super close at the gaps and finish, and accept that it’s a plastic car. I doubt that you cause it, and it probably just went unnoticed. Could be an easy fix, or the dealer could make it worse. GL
Don't think that is very common. Definitely an issue and worth a trip to the dealer. However, I can see the dealer saying we are not responsible for it since you did the modifications yourself. We will have to charge you to take a look at it.

I'll be sure to have my stock splitter on when I take it in at least. They might blame it on the rad guards but we'll see
Bumper fit / finish is very difficult to get right, and once you remove the bumper it's even harder....Honestly, many parts (bumper included) aren't designed to be removed & reinstalled over and over....The best fit / finish you will ever get is after the 1st install...When any part is removed for whatever reason after that, it's very easy to stress out some of the clips, not to mention some breaking that you may not have noticed during removal or re-install.....Yes, obviously parts can be removed, but they 100% do not fit the same after initial install...

This is definitely the way. It's not a big deal mostly curious if this was a common issue and had some time on my hands. When I take it for an oil change I'll mention it to them
There are four 7mm bolts that hold the carbon flash cover to the main cover on the bottom of the backside of the cover. However there are pins that hold everything together so there might not be that much room for adjustment but I do know they have some wiggle room.

I have found the C8 front bumper gap to be rather commonplace. I have gaps on each side of my 2021 C8. I've examined lots of other C8s and they also have gaps (see the last photo). Unless you get down close looking for the gaps, you'll never notice them from a distance.
I had my car in for an oil change today. Mentioned the front gaps. They had a C8 on their floor so we had a look at it. Exact same gap
Now I have to reinstall my aftermarket splitter. Thought I was being smart taking it off and putting the Z-51 splitter back on so they wouldn’t try to blame it on the splitter 😅 At least it’s a quick install
I thought my 23 had none, just checked, it has the same gap on both sides. About 1/8 inch on each side. It has never been taken apart.
I never noticed that before. My car is metallic blue.
It is more noticeable on your car since it is white.
On a black car you would probably never see the gap.

I never noticed mine until I installed an aftermarket splitter. I thought maybe I pulled it apart when installing it but seems like it's somewhat common on our cars
The body panel alignment on the C8 is by no means perfect, however panels on both my C8s are/were much better than on my C7 and most C7s I've seen. So GM has taken a step in the right direction IMO.
Most likely, no one will notice the gaps unless you point them out. I'd recommend you just enjoy your C8 and be thankful it doesn't have more severe issues.
OP, there is actually a built in, molded "HOOK" on the end of the white piece that hooks into a slot on the carbon flash piece..... looks like yours FAILED to hook and pull together. I've had my front bumper off to replace that black center section with a carbon fiber one, so I recall seeing that hook and slot design.....
Look at this pic on either end and you can see where the "hook" goes in

Agreed. My driver’s door gap next to front fender is wider than the passenger side. Everything else lines up. I showed a fellow C8 owner and he gave me the best advise I have heard in a long time- “don’t sweat the nonsense, leave it alone and enjoy the car.”
