Default Dampness in frunk

My car has only 650 miles, but on two separate occasions, I noticed heavy condensation on the interior top of the frunk hood, as well as heavy dampness on the carpeted area. I thought there might be a leak , but I put some groceries in the frunk, did not notice any moisture and 24 hours later (no rain) it was pretty damp there. The groceries were removed 10 minutes after I placed them in the frunk, so I think they were of no consequence. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have never experienced any dampness in the frunk. I haven't read anyone having this problem on the forum. Take your car to the dealer and let him figure it out. You do have a problem and that's why you have a warranty.

I would suggest using a fan over night blowing on the area to get it nice and dry. Then keep checking it especially after washing or being out in the rain (if you drive in the rain) and see if the dampness comes back.

Put some silica camera packs in there. I'm only half serious but it could help if you got the large packs. I put a pack in all my camera bags/gear.

Exactly. Your warranty should cover issues like this.

I looked at at 23MY at dealership last week. It was sitting outside for a month during the rainy season here in Vancouver. The frunk was soaking wet. Under the hood was also very wet. Quickly moved on to another 23MY on their lot. First thing I checked was the frunk. It was not wet. Interesting.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issues on my brand new 25 stingray, under 200 miles.

I know the c5's would have a problem sometimes with the rubber bladders (drains) getting clogged up and would get the inside of the cab/firewall wet. Maybe something like this on the c8's?

Make sure your 3 Frunk panels are installed correctly. The rain off the windshield drains into the Frunk and who knows where it goes.
