Default Launch control weirdness

I have been playing around with the launch control setting for a couple of days now (nothing serious, just seeing when it is ready to activate). I haven't been able to activate in Sport mode despite what the manual says that it can be used in Sport mode. Got it to work in Track mode but something weird happens. When I double press the traction control, I get multiple options for traction (wet, dry, race 1, and race 2). These allowed me to activate launch control. Though now I'm stuck in this mode. My alternative is to go to Z Mode or turn the car off/on. No matter how many times you turn the **** to the left or right, all it does at this point is select which track traction mode you are in, nothing more.

How do you exit this traction selection menu and allow the **** to select the other modes (touring, sport, weather, etc)? And if it is obvious as the day is bright, be nice. I'm still fiddling with the controls and learning what everything does.

I only do launch control from track mode and once I'm finished rippin' & runnin', I press the Traction Control button to go back to normal.
