This Mod COMPLETES The Rear Of The C8 Corvette! 👇👇👇
I STILL do not understand WHY no one has done this in CF or even fiberglass or plastic to allow painting in Carbon Flash Metallic or body color. Also, it would allow them to match the sculpted shape to match the rear side vents. THESE are flat, aluminum CNC. Cool, but wouldn't a composite material be lighter and easier to paint match? ...not to mention cheaper to produce and look better.

I'm not a fan of it either. I'm not making fun of it. It definately draws all of your attention to the license plate area of the car. If thats where you want to attract attention on the rear of the car go for it! In my opinion the C8 is a very busy car in design. There is not much you can do to it, if anything at all, without over doing it. As I always say, It's your car, do what you like with it and if it makes you happy that's all that counts. If we all thought the same and liked the same things it would be a very boring world!

I like the idea of the grille license plate surround, I just wish it had the same style as the rear vents. Actual vents are down-tilted fins. The plate surround is flat CNC. Again, because it's powder coated aluminum, you can't paint it the body color. A plastic or CF version styled like the rear vents would be better, lighter and cheaper to produce.
