IMO it depends on the state you live your driving history your credit history and if you bundle homeowners with the coverage. Insurance companies are raking most of the public over the coals due to major losses across the country. Fires in California and Hawaii. Auto theft in major cities and the rising cost of construction due to inflation. State Farm and a few other major insurers are pulling out of California completely. And we can expect other Gulf Coast states to receive the same treatment soon. Insurance companies are in business to make money not pay claims. And until inflation comes down and states start getting tougher on theft most of the country will pay to keep the profits flowing to insurers. Period!
As others have mentioned, NCM does offer several Discount categories. I've had numerous Corvettes and other fun cars insured through them over the years. I just pulled my Policy Declarations Page out and these are the Discounts that are currently applied to my two C8s. I always deal directly with the folks in Bowling Green and they've alway been very pleasant and helpful. If you qualify for some of these discounts you might want to give them a call and see if they apply to your situation. For my mostly stock 23 Z51 MagRide Front Lift Coupe I pay $667/yr (3000 mi. is the agreed yearly mileage), but mileage can roll over to the following year if you don't use all of it; or they can charge you for additional mileage (no penalty) if you do run over. Not a problem.

Im glad i saw your Discount, i just received my Quote today and I did not have my homeowners discount and was missing at least 2 of the Vehicle Discounts, they said they will add it in.... so THANKS!!!!.... ive been Loyal to USAA for 30+ years. and WOW... NCM, was right at HALF. of USAA... with much higher coverage,,,... maybe because im in Florida... but it was a no brainer to go this route... just submitted the photos and my declaration page for my DD.
I'm with State Farm and will be moving from base C6 to Z06 C8. My rate will double. I'd hate to move on as a 50 year customer with State Farm. An issue to think about is your umbrella policy since State Farm requires all insurance to be with them to purchase an umbrella policy. I'm not sure if other insurance companies require this.
I don't believe NCM is the insurer. They use several different companies depending on where the car is registered among other factors.
I was with USAA for almost 45 years but switched to Erie 3 years ago when USAA rates were no longer competitive for auto, home or umbrella. I kept a personal articles policy, I e. jewelry to retain my annual and senior rebates. YMMV

I’m with StateFarm too I didn’t know about the umbrella requirementt. TY for the heads up. 👍👍

I've been with State Farm for 40 years, good luck finding better. Shouldn't be to big of a surprise that a car worth more than 2x maybe 3x of your old car will be double to insure.
My 2024 $82,000 Stingray is a tic above $1,000 to fully insure with $1,000 deductible annually. State Farm.
Not sure… $1k deductible full coverage, we have three vehicles plus two motorcycles on a separate policy. I’m 67 years old but a half dozen years ago I lost my license over a speeding ticket. At the time I had GIECO, I had had them for everything including homeowners for over 40 years and they doubled the rates on the six vehicles I had at the time with absolutely no discussion so I switched to Flo who was cheaper than GIECO before the ticket.
I just got my new insurance policy for my 2024 which I just bought and the 2024 C8 is only $922/yr. Strangely my wife's 2021 Camaro 2SS convertible costs $1995/yr. There is also a Ford Edge on our policy for $717/yr. Our 16 year old son is also on the policy for all cars so it would be even less if he wasn't on. My son only drives the Edge but he is not excluded from the other vehicles.
Mine used to be $900 in 2022 for the year but it jumped up to $1500 for no dang reason! Texas here.
My C6, my Impala and my wife's Equinox with State Farm in Delaware doubled in 2-3 years for no reason as well. No tickets or at-fault accidents. Agent said state was approving increases every quarter based on claims due to expense of repairs, parts and seriousness of accidents due to post COVID reckless driving.
I had NCM on my 23 for a lot less than quoted by State Farm. After a cross country road trip I was about to go over the mileage limit so I switched back. I may go back to them because I don’t plan on taking any more cross country trips in the Vette. There are several restrictions you need to comply with.

It's pretty mixed on what carriers require all policies to be in-house for umbrella. The larger carriers usually do. There are some carriers that sell only umbrella and only require you have the policies in place, but not necessarily with them. It's generally easier/cheaper to bundle until you start needing E&S insurance or huge umbrella coverage.
Allstate doesn't require me to insure my Corvette with them to have an umbrella policy. I have my other two vehicles and my home with Allstate. They get enough of my money.
