Default New C8 Corvette Reference Book

I have a couple of this guy’s Corvette production books and I just bought his C8 book. I’m a numbers guy and I love it. Has a lot info that I did not know about the mid engine Vette. Much more production figures than any other Corvette book. A good source for any C8 owner. I got the link:

The parsing of options to make a car they have built over 100k of to call it"rare" will never cease to make me laugh. It's so bizarre. The whole point of corvettes is they are not rare and somewhat regular people can afford them.

This regular guy must have missed the point. Man, he got taken for this not rare $247,500.00 Corvette.

Does the book include all the specs for the 2023 model year?

Floridasky:
Yes, the book has all production numbers for 2023.
Coupe, convertible
Stingray RPOs and LPOs
Z06 RPOs and LPOs
Exterior colors by coupe/convertible/Stingray/Z06
Interior colors by coupe/convertible/Stingray/Z06
Exterior/Interior color combinations by coupe/convertible/Stingray/Z06
LT2 & LT6 engine specs
Nice discussion section about special editions and exports (and export GPFilters/HP differences) in the last part of the book

Looks like a good reference book. I think I will look into the C7 version.

I don't think the rare "One of sixteen with contrasting seatbelts built during a solar eclipse" cars are heading for that price point.

I actually wonder if the seller recovered his restoration costs on that Fuelie!!!

Holy Cow. Just realized he has the 2020-22 Z51 color breakout. Never seen that before. GM provided the numbers. Nice!

ROFL

That's the point, a car with an option like a Fuelie...is special.

Billy Ray with a Torch Red Stingray built with some random collection of options doesn't make it rare.

But only one of 2,000 C8's will be built on a February 29 leap year day because it was a Saturday in 2020... so those are rare...

I am huge fan of the Corvette Black Box. It is currently in its last printing ever which will include all Corvettes thru the 2023 model.

Hi Everyone - here's a key link the Second Edition of the Corvette Black Book 1953-2023, 70 Year Legacy Edition: The Official Site Of The Corvette Black Book - Since 1978, The Genuine Corvette Black Book. It mentions that a 2024 Edition is not planned at this time.

Of course... people might wait for the 2024 edition to come out, killing sales on the 2023

Yeah, I don't get the options thing either.

There's really only 3 things about a C8 that could remotely be used to classify "rarity" within any one production variant:

HTC or Coupe
Exterior color
Interior

If you start trying to classify your rarity based on seat belts, calipers and wheels--you are a douchecanoe.

My "Stingray logo center caps with red outline, dealer installed" will make mine rock Mecum someday. 1 of 1 that day with my options and a VIN ending with an odd number. Includes my napkin from lunch at the Stingray Grill that day, the kind of touch that sets records.
