I've had mine for about 4 years...... LOVE IT. If you are buying one, be sure to get the one that properly fits the car....... 66" max distance..... 5000 TLX....... it will be long enough to properly reach the lifting locations where your jackng pucks go.

Besides the usual oil and filter changes, I've done the DCT fluid changes, Brake Pad swapping out, done 2 complete Exhaust removal and installation job for new Corsa Extreme exhaust on 2 of my friends C8's. I've also had the back bumper off of my car 5 different times, for swapping out the rear diffuser, rear vents, and on my 3rd different spoiler..... now a carbon fiber high wing. Also removed the entire FRONT bumper assy to install a carbon fiber front facia.

So to let you know, the Quick Jack is HIGHLY versatile for doing many different projects on the C8

When not in use, I leave the QJ laying flat on the floor, pushed together. I coil up the 2 hydraulic hoses and velcro them together and hang them on the side of my tool chest. I keep the control unit on the floor, underneath the side of my totol chest

^^^ I used the QJ YESTERDAY on my friend's C8 with the supplied rubber blocks that contact the " leave in" jacking pucks on the car. So YES, you should use lifting pucks.

QJ does have SALES on these several times a year..... typically, $200 to $300 off and free shipping. The ones sold at Costco are only 60" lifting length..... as long as you don't already own one and you need to purchase one..... get the RIGHT one...... not the 60" one. Several forum member all swear by the short one, as they already have them. Spend the extra money and get the one that reach the lifting puck locations.

My car, as well as the 3 friends C8's that regularly get lifted on my lift ALL of us have Leave in lifting pucks.

It's SO SIMPLE to use the QJ, that I sometimes lift my car JUST to clean it, and clean the wheels..... easy up in the air, as the front wheels spin freely, plus you can easily clean the lower rocker panels, etc.... LOL !!!!!

here's two of my projects....

Front Bumper removed using the QJ...

front bumper removed for new carbon fiber center facia

REAR Bumper off for Carbon Fiber High Wing installation.....

Strake's rear bumper off ready for AGM Carbon fiber High Wing

I could bore you with another 100 pics of other projects on my car, as well as my friends C8 doing all kinds of work.....

I've enjoyed my Quick Jack for years.....when I got the C8 I sold the shorter version and bought the longer version to properly lift my C8. I use it frequently.....one of the best investments I've ever made for the garage. I highly recommend it.

YES....... .QJ 5000 TLX would be the first choice lift for the C8. If you have a SUV or something else that is heavier, you might want to consider a 7000 capacity model, but be aware that when fully flattened, it is 3.5" high where the 5000 TLX model will lay flat at 3" tall. They both offer 66" max lift length ( which is what you want )

I've never had safety concerns using this. There are two different locking position heights you can choose. I always have used the full up height. I only use 1 rubber lifting block 2" thick per corner. They provide you with more blocks, but I don't want to stack them up. First of all, the lift needs to start up with NO load on it before it gets to the bottom of the car to gain pressure. Especially with the C8 being low to begin with, you don't want to start out with it right up next to the lifting pucks to start. It's all in the manual.

If you still feel uneasy, you can always put jack stands under there too, but I've never heard of anyone having a failure and a car coming down.

Sledge Hammer......

Only thing better than a C8 in the garage, is TWO C8's in my garage

Gettysburg Cliff's C8 on the lift along side Strake's C8 in our garage.

I have owned and used a 7000 for years. Have the extenders for longer wheel based vehicles like my CTS4. Took my 911 apart a few years ago while it was on the lift. I also have a BP 4 post but the QJ is good if you don't need to get it 7 feet off the floor for "quick" stuff.....

^^^^ NICE set up to have both lift options !!!

When I installed my LeMans Edition Track Exhaust, I went to my buddy's house to use his full height 2 post lift. It was easier as I didn't have to lay down on the floor a hundred times, HOWEVER in the past 3 weeks, I've helped 2 of my friends come to my house to install their Corsa Extreme exhaust using my QuickJack....... it really wasn't a big deal.... even for a couple of 70 year olds LOL !!!!

Cool! What about side movement. I mean if you push say at a drivers door does the system rack any side to side? Thanks

^^^^^ V Vette, it would take a mighty good push to move it. I've shut doors while on the lift without issue. Don't over think it......

Mine doesn't move, and I've got SwissTrax flooring which makes it VERY easy to slide the frames around on the flooring when the car is not on it. But with the car on it, I get no movement.

I’ve had my 5000TLX for about 6 months. I had to give up my 4 post lift when we moved to Florida, but the QJ works well. I am in SW Cape. I would be glad to show you my lift and mods that I did to it. If you are interested PM me.
