Default My Green C8

Picked up my 2023 Coupe today. The Wrap is completed and I'm very happy with the outcome. I'm aware that some folks aren't fond of green on cars in general and/or on Corvettes. I don't necessarily care for some shades of green on Corvettes either, but this one I like a lot. Kind of a British Racing Green type color; also reminds me of the 65 and 67 Green Corvettes. I chose the Inozetek brand Vinyl strictly for this particular color (Supergloss Metallic Midnight Green).

I ordered this car (Black 3LT, Z51, MagRide) last year (as a Project Car) and picked her up at the NCM in late July. Broke her in by driving her back to Houston. Then delivered to Peitz Performance for a Twin Turbo upgrade, which is Fantastic and I highly recommend them for anyone interested in power upgrade options for your C8, or other vehicles.

I used Automotive Film Specialists (AFS) in Houston to do the Wrap for me. I've been very impressed with their attention to detail and customer focus. The car looks great, in my opinion.

Here are some pics that show the transformation. I've previously posted Twin Turbo focused pics on the Forum, so will not duplicate them here, except for the final appearance pics.

It's been a long journey and I still plan to address the Stance on the car at some point in the future.

After adding BC Forged wheels and Sport Cup 2 tires:

I love it! Wish that GM would offer that color with a saddle brown interior.

Me too! But since they don't, I went with yellow calipers and interior stitching to complement the Green.

Ah, that's the cap for the 3.2 Gallon Methanol tank. Part of the Twin Turbo upgrade...

Was about to ask the same question. I just ordered my 2024 and if they have a Purple option for 2025 I'm going to be super pissed and will immediately wrap or sell and buy a Purple 2025. Mind if I ask how much the wrap cost and how long before you have to wrap it again?

AFS runs specials/sales occasionally, so probably best to reach out to them directly (713-970-1099, ask for Seth). I also had Expel XR Tint applied and Ceramic coating on the wrap, calipers, and wheels.

I think the longevity of the wrap has a lot to do with the environment it lives in. e.g. Long outdoor exposure to sun, and other elements, will attack the appearance and perhaps the adhesive much quicker than a car that is mostly garaged and driven on weekends, to Car Shows, etc. In general, I think 3-5 years is not uncommon. Also, apparently there is the possibility that some Vinyl adhesives can become "baked on" to the underlying paint over time. I have no experience in this, but have read a couple horror stories. I've also read that some have had their wraps on for 7+ years and when removed the paint was in the same condition as before it was wrapped. That's probably a good question for Seth.

Cheers!

I really like the color green. It looks great. Very fond of naval aviation as well. My father was a naval aviator. Went in in 1941 out in 1963. Flew off the USS Yorktown, USS Lexington and the USS Midway CVA 41. Thanks for your service and keep sharing.

From one Rob to another: Wow, your C8 is stunning. That rear shot of your car looks bad azz! I would love to see a picture of your car and Stayinstock’s C6 together as both have gorgeous green wraps. From your handle, I take it that you are a former A6 driver. One of my best friends was as well except he flew for the Marines. Thank you for your service and congratulations on a beautiful and unique C8.

Damn, your car look absolutely stunning in that shade of green and the twin turbos just scream speed. Well done and yes, I am a fan of green on a Corvette.

If you were involved with the A6, I was in Attack Squadron 35 (Black Panthers) out of NAS Oceana Va.

Beautiful! Would that be considered a shade of “Army” green? 😊.

My squadron deployed on the USS Midway in 71 and again in 72-73 to the Tonkin Gulf region. (Vietnam). You're probably aware that the Midway is a museum in San Diego. For someone whose never been on an aircraft carrier, it's a great way to spend some time.
