On my C5 you used to be able to buy color coordinated leather parts like elbow pads for the door, console pads steering wheel leather etc. why are there no suppliers for this stuff anymore. It’s not so much that I don’t like the interior but would like to dress it up a little

100% because corvette owners apparently only have a hard on for carbon fiber. So rather than having to make/stock 6+ different interior colors to suit to taste--all the aftermarket companies just make everything out of carbon fiber (or overlay) and slap a 900% premium on it.
Carbon fiber is so overplayed that is actually cheapens the look of an interior for me at this point. I understand why GM does it--since it's an easy way to print money without actually having to come up with materials that are cushy/plush and don't feel/look cheap. But the same reasons why GM has a boner for it--are the same reasons the aftermarket does.
p.s.
Apsis is about the only company I've seen offering upholstery ANYTHING for the C8--most frequently horn buttons. I'd ask them if you are looking for something in particular. Lord knows that GM isn't ever going to offer the entire door card in suede.
Carbon fiber has been overplayed. It doesn't impress me and it looks cheap to me. Maybe because you can find so many different cheap Carbon fiber in the auto accessories isle in Walmart and most retail auto parts stores. Might as well add an 8 ball shift **** and fuzzy dice from the mirror.
