Default C8 Order Question

If you have an order in the GM order bank that has not been accepted yet at 1100 status will you immediately know when it gets acceppted and moves to a 2000 status or do you have to wait until the Thursday that the dealers get told what their allocations will be? I'm signed up for the Chevrolet emails but I know you cannot always count on them.

You will get an email from GM when your order is accepted. It should be pretty quick, unless you ordered too many options.
I'm not sure about the number levels, but I do remember the first email from GM was Order Accepted.
The next email was TPW Theory Production Week. The last email was Your Car is Built.

That's it from GM. My sales guy (Aundre at Criswell) sent me a text with the same information a few days before I received the GM emails.

First email is 3000 status. Until you hit 3000 you are not guaranteed Chevrolet will build your car and you are not price protected.

There is more information in the sticky section on C8 order info. There are threads in there that explain all the order status codes and rough timelines. There are a lot of variables, so each order is different in terms of how long you have to wait. In my experience, the emails from Chevrolet on the status of my order were very sporadic; I got more information from the dealer (MacMulkin). They actually have a website updated weekly where you can look up the status of your order.

I never got anything from GM. And I wasn't getting any information from the dealer either. To be fair, I wasn't asking them either but they did tell me they'd keep me posted as the status changed. I'd plug my order number into the online bot every once and a while and it just kept saying "order accepted, build being scheduled" or something like that. It went from that message to "congratulations, your vehicle has been built" within a day or two. ??? Anyway, it was built almost exactly 4 weeks from ordering. Got delivered to the dealer about two weeks later and I'm picking it up this Friday. Went way faster than I was expecting but I have no idea why I never got any notifications. Oh well, NBD.

Thanks, mine probably won't go quick as my order is for an E-Ray. My 2023 anniversary edition was built in 7 weeks. I was just wondering if I could get the acceptance letter anytime in between the allocation cycles. But thinking about it now when I posted my question, I was getting acceptance confused with allocations. My fault! Too many birthdays!!! lol

Default Don’t set your clock by GM emails

1. Anything before 3000 is meaningless

2. 3000 email came AFTER my dealer notified me.

3. Most accurate tracking is that when you hit 3400 and get last five of the VIN, you can check the production schedule and see exactly what day it is scheduled for production.

4. The schedule is updated daily and posted on FB C8 Owners Forum at:

https:/www.facebook.com/share/rGfKCF2hKUXe22QH/?mibextid=KR3qBd

5. You can reference a recent tracker here on the forum to see actual times between each status as reported by forum members for their builds at:
