Q regarding using a code scanner
am I correct in thinking that if you have a MIL light, and a code that one of your modules is bad/not communicating, and you erase the hard DTC, that the MIL light will just come back on when you haven’t repaired the problem?

this is not an intermittent one, I’ve written about it before , and I’m taking it in tomorrow to a master Corvette tech. It is a U0164 which is “lost communication” with the climate control module… the “wall of buttons” are DOA, but the whole HVAC system works fine through the center screen. I’m hoping it’s just a connector, the car has a grand total of 863 miles on it, bought last month… Pisses me off…

Until you find the source of the problem, most likely the light will come back on.
