Hauling around drunks, people that have lost their license and those that can't afford a car would be better suited for my Ford Focus daily driver, not for one of the vettes.

Want to roll the dice monetizing your C8? Check out Turo.
Yeah ask the owner of the Lamborghini that the spoiled criminal Rashee Rice was driving how that worked out. A normal person would have been thrown in jail for walking away from an injury accident so he could sober up and then “take full responsibility” for his actions. Sam

Way to stereotype people. I use Uber and Lyft frequently and am none of those.
On occasion I have also used Uber or Lyft as the most convenient way to get around and I haven't had a DUI or lost my license since I was 16 (I had a really fast 56 Chevy 😁.

Do the people who rent these exotics, lurury cars, super cars, etc. think they are going to be driven conservatively and treated gingerly. Get real.
Probably better to wait until such time that you can afford a Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Z06 without engaging in these ridiculous, high risk, rental arrangements.
Hand over your $400,000 sports car to some stranger for a "fee", what could possibly go wrong in that scenario. WTF?
Was going on a trip and thinking I would rent a performance car on Turo just for grins. Then I read the fine print on the docs they have you sign. Pretty much agreeing that any mechanical issue is yours to deal with and not the owner of the car. You pickup a ride that the last person just got done thrashing for a few days and returned only to be the bag holder when something bad happens in your possession.
You could always do this..a Taxi...LOL.
but if you look at Uber requirements... you have to have a 4 door vehicle. or I'm pretty sure you have to have a 4 door.

I posted this just to see what kind of crazy replies I would get and I must say you all do not Disappoint! LOL
You didn't expect the majority of C8 owners to reject the idea or find it stupid to turn their Corvettes into taxi cabs or rent-a-cars?
Possibly the chum you threw in the water to start the thread was the craziness here and not the responses from rational C8 owning forum members. Certainly a very odd way to seek entertainment.

There's a number of folks who Turo out their high-end cars. Good way to own a small fleet of interesting cars that pay for themselves, but you have to have the right mindset about it

Nothing to do with a mindset.
The "need" to rent out your exotic validates the fact that you can't afford it in the 1st place and renting Ferraris, Lamborghinis, etc. is is all roses until something goes wrong and the **** hits the fan. No free lunches in the car world regardless of what the Turo movers and shakers boast about. It's like gamblers and day traders, they only tell you the good stuff.
