Redeeming another $1k in the next week or so once my Z arrives.

I think our lifetime earnings redemptions are around $20k. Some special promotions were in there occasionally to average > $500/yr.
Blended earnings of about 2.5%, with cashbacks totaling about $500/year. That's $1500 - $1800/mo average on cards for the last several years running. I pay almost everything on credit cards, just to get the cashback. Then pay the balance on statement every month.

Sounds like we both paid MSRP for our C8, and used cashback from credit cards towards the cost of the car.

It's obvious that the supply has caught up with the demand....it took 5 model years, but we are there

I am also buying from MacMulkin. They even are buying my trade locally, I get the tax savings and I only have to pay for shipping the new car. Adam Morin has made it super easy. They are not discounting really at all here in the Houston, Texas area and they have almost no inventory.

Yes, come May I am aggressively looking for a coupe through MacMulkin too. Prices are better than what's out there used.

My casual observation is that discounts are getting a little bigger. More 9k's off.

Do you feel greedy?

I'm waiting to see if any changes or upgrades are announced at the NCM Bash this week for 2025. Possibly a new color etc. If so anyone on the fence might choice to wait, pushing bigger discounts on the inbound 2024 models. I think in two weeks they may adjust discounts to the $9,500 -10k regardless as they still have a lot of inbound 2024 cars.

I well remember the same type of thread and conversation when the C7 and then C7Z06 rolled out. Once supply exceeds demand, the price drops. From what I am seeing, the Z model will soon be seeing the same discounts.

Dealer must be marking them down on their own. There is no GM Employee/ Supplier pricing on the C8 since it was introduced. The C8 and any Cadillac V Series can not be purchased with that program. Just go to GM FAMILY FIRST and you can build a GM product and it will show you what the employee discount is. If you click on the C8 or Cadillac V Series it states "This vehicle is not eligible for the employee/supplier pricing." Or something close to that. Anyone can build and look at GM FAMILY FIRST, you do not have to be an employee. Dodge requuires you to be an employee to look up their pricing. Don"t know about Ford.

You are correct. Another member posted that Les Stanford is offering "GM Pricing" and some interpreted that to mean " GM Employee" pricing, which it isn't. It is simply a marketing term to get potential buyers to think that they are getting a special price, along the lines of dealers making customers think that "invoice" is the dealer's cost, which is also untrue. MacMulkin is merely discounting cars so that they can reap allocations for the next model year. As others noted, unusual that it took over 4 model years for discounting to begin, but it is what it is.
