I can easily see that happening since practically all new cars are going that way. I think it looks just fine but I prefer the wall of buttons because it's difficult to look a screen and drive at the same time.
They been doing renders and rumors since 2022 at this point just give up and wait for C9. Just 6 months ago "confirmed 2025 interior change" now to 2026. Imagine the folks who have been delaying there Corvette purchase for years now based on these bogus rumors on the interior change, When they changed the infotainment software in 2024 to android/google that should of been an indication that no interior change was going to happen or they would have done it in 2024.
No way GM is going to throw millions towards redesigning the C8 interior in it's 7th model year. If they were contemplating an interior redesign they would have implemented it in the Z06 and eRay.
Besides, it's not like the existing interior design is hurting C8 sales.
Isn't this basically the same screen as the optional one available on the Escalade? I'd guess this will happen in 2026 models--GM will have to do some sort of refresh to keep sales up. There is precedent for this....think back to the C4 platform when they went with the new instrument panel and console.
The wall of buttons creates a cramped felling for the passenger. I know its a drivers car. I had surgery and could not drive, so I got to experience that. In addition, looking down to push a little button, and then trying to see if that little light comes on is not safe in some situations. I have a F150 Lightning with a huge screen and it makes it easy, and you are generally lookin up. We do not need anything that big, but the 2024 display area on the screen is to little. Seems like the older C8 had more viewing area. The 2024 has a big black frame around the screen.
I think the wall of buttons would be much easier to live with and operate than having everything on a touch screen and I like the look ! Better than having everything on a touch screen which i find distracting while driving trying to remember and find where your suppose to touch! How many times your trying to touch a specific input on a screen and you hit a bump and all of the sudden you hit the wrong one! Now you have to either go back or try to find the right one again as you are driving, very annoying!
Even if GM changes it , Doesn't mean it is better, In most cases it is cost, I am sure everything on a touch pad would be cheaper to make than the cost of switches, more wires , computers, etc !

I agree 100%. Once you learn the positions of the buttons and what controls what on the wall, you can almost change settings without even looking.
