… for me and my wife. It was only about 5 hrs RT. The weather was perfect, and the car drove great and was surprisingly comfortable. My only complaint, which was noticeable to both of us, was the road/tire noise. I never really heard it before due to the Borla ATAK, and I seldom hit 7 & 8th gear driving around town, but it was definitely louder than my exhaust. If I plan more trips, then I might dump the run flats, or just turn up the radio… ha (‘24 SR Z51 coupe).
Some manufacturers offer a noise reduction wheel that is very effective at greatly reducing tire noise by using resonators in the tire cavity. An opportunity for an after market supplier, measure the resonance and develop a resonator. Next biggest thing since engine lighting.

In general, the C8 (both Stingray and Z06) are quieter than the previous C6/7 equivalent by a good bit. Yes, depending on pavement type there is still some road noise, but I have not found either to be nearly as bad as previous generations, and my wife and I can still carry on a conversation or listen to music without having to blast it. Ditching the run-flats/ZPs won't help unless you go to a completely different tire barnd/model as modern run-flast are no noiseier than the same model in non-ZP. Personally I would stick with the Michelin ZPs and live with it, but others have found Continentals to be quieter, but you will give up the run-flat capability at at least 10-20% tire performance.
For all who are scared to ditch the loud and rough run flats, .. you don't know what you are missing! Getting rid of the run flats on my C6 Stingray, my C7 Grand Sport as well as the C8 HTC has simply been the best! Much quieter, smoother and less expensive to boot. Never a problem, issue or concern by not having run flat capability. Have backups and workarounds for that anyways. I carry a plug kit, a 12V inflator, and if that's not enough .. I have 24hr Roadside assistance. In 15 years have never needed anything.

I'll just say this, having had a catastrophic loss of pressure (not just a small nail, but a hole way to big to patch) on the backside of nowhere, 30 miles from the closest small town and no cell service, I will never give up my ZP tires for a little less noise.

Me neither. I just told my daughter to put ZPs on her Jag. The roads in Nashville are horrendous and I don't want her stranded on the side of some dark country road.

In 50 years driving I have had 1 flat, however I also have tire patch kit, portable pump and AAA so well covered. I actually was never bothered by tire sound for the first two years but now really noticeable. What tires do you use?

Used them on several cars, and when the oem solid rubber tires(feels like) wear down or get noisy I'm installing the Conti's. Compared to the Michelin ZP the DWS06 is 5# lighter per front tire, and 7# lighter per rear tire.

Haha, it happened on a paved road about 45 minutes east of Tail of the Dragon in NC in my C6 ZR1. Don't know what it was, but it was a big enough hole that patch kit and fix-a-flat wouldn't seal it. Very rural hilly/mountainous area and no cell coverage. The Michelin ZPs let me limp it safely about 25-30 miles back to the closest town with a tire shop and hotel since it happened late on a Saturday and I wouldn't be able to get a tire until Monday morning.

Thanks. I had DWS Conti on my MB SLK 350 and they were a lot more quiet and lasted a long time and good grip.
When I tried the Conti site and searched for C8 tires the site shows 0 results. Fortunately Tirerack shows them. !!!

Hmmm, I checked as well using the "by vehicle " selection and got no results. Then I checked "by size" And it shows DWS06 in the sizes.
