Default Build Process or notifications explained?

So, I ordered my C8 on 4/1 and then received an email on 4/10 from Chevrolet saying that the order had been accepted and received for production. It looks like there are 6 "stages" and only the first one is filled in with red. It looks like the 6th one is "received at dealership". Will I get an email at each stage?
Apologies if this has been covered 100 times, I did a search and couldn't really find anything, other than a bunch of posts about how long have you been at 3000 phase. I just don't know what that means! Can someone give me a short version of the process?

Also, I was told 8-10 weeks at the dealer on 4/1. Does that start on 4/1 or 4/10 when Chevrolet acknowledged acceptance of the order?

Any guesses on when I'll get my car?

Thanks in advance, Craig

I wouldn't put too much stock in those emails. In many cases, they are sent out delayed or sometimes not at all. I had already taken delivery of my Stingray when I got an email from GM stating that my car was being produced.

It is not the same for every build either. Due to my wheels and CF interior it seemed mine took about 3 weeks longer than most.
