Good morning Peeps. well I picked up my new (used) 2022 HTC yesterday and traded my 2021 coupe in and all I can say is WOW. I can not believe how much quieter this car is on the inside vs coupe and the ride seems to be so much better...... I get the sound part but I dont get the ride part. It is the EXACT same spec as my 21 but my 21 was a 2lt and the HTC is a 3lt. All of my settings are set to the same now but the ride is like riding in my wife's Lexus and Im not complaining, im just in shock..... I thought for a minute I had purchased a 6cyl vet 😂😂😂😂 it was so quiet inside the car. I am absolutely in love with it but I do have one issue and hoping someone can help me with this......
My remote control will not start the car like I am used too. can someone explain why this is? I checked all of the settings and everything seems to be right but I always like to start my car and let it "wake Up" before I get in it and drive. there has to be something I am overlooking here and any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks and much love to all of you.
Mine hiccups every so often where I know I clicked it but it does nothing. Though it always worked on the second attempt. Have you replaced the battery yet?
Both cars have / don't have MSRC? And both are Z51 or not Z51? Do they have the same tires, or did the owner of your new car swap out the OEM Michelins for something else?
My car was doing the same thing. Took her to the dealership and the service manager opened all the doors, the frunk and the trunk and closed them. She started right up. Turns out my wife took a ride with her sister and her sister didn't want to slam the door shut.
2LT/3LT should make no difference in ride if both cars are the same package (Z51/mag). Possibly you have different seats or tires.
Remote start: "The vehicle can not be driven during a remote start. To drive the vehicle, press the brake pedal, then press ENGINE START/STOP, with the remote key in the vehicle." at least that's what my 2021 manual says.
Brother thank you so much. I did what you said the dealer did and it fixed my issue. I guess maybe something wasn't closed good enough. much appreciated

The day I picked up my brand new 2022 HTC from the dealer, I drove all the way home with the driver's door partially ajar. I was just so excited to finally be driving the car, I never noticed the big, bright, unmistakable warning on the dash that the door was not closed all the way....
The HTC is slightly heavier than the coupe.
Maybe the extra weight is compressing the suspension differently, affecting the ride feel?
HTC is 100 lbs heavier but when I carry a 100 lb trunk load or a 100 lb passenger I don't feel the "ride is unbelievable different". I have driven the HTC Z51 and the coupe Stingray (both with mag) back to back and found no difference in ride. The HTC had comp seats and that were tighter but not really a ride difference. He indicates same tires same seats why a noticeable difference? Tire pressure? Just curious.

As we all know, "ride feel" is very subjective.
Thanks for your input.
I figured out the ride difference. the previous owner ordered the Michelin AS tires and not the sport tires. I used to own a tire store and I know about tires and that has to be the reason here.

Is the HTC a Z51? If not, there are more differences than just the tires. The suspension on the non-Z51 is definitely softer than the Z-51's. The A/S tires have never been an option on the Z51, so if your car IS a Z-51 the prior owner must have swapped them out. Check to see if they are run flat or not. The run flats say "ZP" (Zero Pressure) on the sidewall.
