Default Transmission issue

Fellas, been loving my c8 since november its been new to me- 5k miles total 2020. I upshifted felt the car slip into neutral- it moved in 2nd gear then shift up same thing- car was stuck in neutral-

“service transmission/ idle creep messages”on my cluster with a abs light on.

Had to get towed home- plugged in my autel scan tool and saw many faults saying odd gear faults- with a quick reset the car started moving again

but many odd communication codes and abs lights stood-

Is gm aware of this? Is this covered on my end?

Powertrain warranty is 5 years so DCT problems should be covered. However if you erased the DCT codes then they may not cover it until they come back.

When something like that occurs have OnStar run a diagnostic report so you have a record for the dealer

Probably should read up on the C8 DCT issues, ongoing since 2020. Good luck.

they’re aware, it’s covered by the warranty, and the only thing you have to worry about is that the parts aren’t always available - I waited 5 weeks for a new valve body when my 22 had the same issues. Get it to a dealer asap so they can diagnose and order parts sooner rather than later (if needed)

Recommend you take it to your dealer and let them do a diagnostic review to see what is going on.
