XPEL Prime XR Plus 35% nano-ceramic tint film for just the side windows was $200...A must-have here in So AZ!

I got the UV resistant ceramic and its AMAZING, I love it. I can literally feel the difference in the intensity of the heat from the sun on my arms and legs. I am in Florida, so the sun is really intense. When I drive my other car without ceramic tint (just regular tint) if the sun is in the right position I can feel my thighs and arms burning. In the C8, direct sun can be streaming right in and I don't feel it all. Lower the window, you feel the burn, raise it back up, no burn. I ended up getting the clear UV ceramic film on my front window too, and it has the same effect on heat and UV. I can park the car out in the sun for hours and it is noticeably cooler with no sunshade needed. Other cars I will burn my hand on the steering wheel if I forget the sunshade. There is no tint to the front, but there is a slightly blue/purple color to it that helps with glare. I only notice it when I see a white car through it, in bright sun they look a little pink.

I highly recommend getting the UV resistant ceramic. I also recommend the front windshield film, its worth it on this car. The windshield is so big, its hard to fit a sunshade, it really bakes the car if you dont get the film. I am hoping it helps keep the dash delamination from happening. It was about $200, and it will suck if I get a rock chip or crack and have to replace it, but overall it was a worthwhile expense.

I've had ceramic tint put and and had it removed. Hate it. It gave everything a bluish tint looking out. Next at certain times of the day and angle it was not clear kind of blurry. If you Google you'll see these are common problems that do or don't affect people.
Went with an old school non ceramic tint on both side windows and back hatch window (coupe). (Yes back hatch window. Been 3000 plus miles with no problems.) This is my 2 cents worth about a penny--but it works for me.

The XPEL Prime XR Plus does not have that bluish tint......I hate blue tints on windows and my C8 has XPEL Prime XR Plus 70% on all windows and I love it. I can see day and night very well and my arms don't feel like they are cooking while driving down the road on a sunny afternoon.

Blue hue is a function of some tints and some trim levels. But not a universal thing for Ceramic. And no other tint besides ceramic is capable of blocking IR, UV, glare, etc--all at the same time; while still offering high VLT.

IMHO, UV and IR are the key reasons to have tint. IDGAF about privacy. I don't want sun fade and I don't want heat prematurely aging anything.

Just had the side windows tinted on my 2012 GS with the maximum allowed in Florida. I think 28 or 30%. The ceramic reduces the heat . I paid $187 here in Clearwater.
