Default Ceramic Coating

Hey Fam - I am looking for a Quality Ceramic Coating to put on my car. I am a fanatic about my cars so I choose to do it myself. However, I am wanting to get a high quality Ceramic here and id like to know what you guys / ladies have done to your rides. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I'm a fan of Adams Graphene. Easy to apply and its been a few years and it seems to hold up. Says its good for 9 years. Price is reasonable and my bride and I did the Vette in about an hour.

The prep work is critical. Need to wash with strip wash and then make certain there is no residual wax on the car. No dust etc.

Graphene is the latest and greatest. But I would recommend:
1) polishing with Turtle Wax 53412 Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Polish and Wax., use a blue pad, less aggressive, prep's the surface
2) apply Turtle Wax 53409 Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating

My reasoning:
Ceramic or Graphene is stronger and longer lasting. Great for people that does mostly shows. These coating require more aggressive polishing down the road to rermove of prep for next coating.
For me, I want protection for rain, bird ****, and road grime. Due to having a black car, I wash and use detailer every 3 or 4 weeks.

Brian on "Apex Auto Detail", YouTube channel does many reviews on coatings. He is a great, humble, and honest person. Watch some of his videos.

Best wishes on finding what's right for you!

I use Shine Supply Relock Express Ceramic Coating, more expensive than some but it's not a water based product like most others.

I used Adams Graphene Advanced with excellent results. Also used their wheel and glass ceramics. Buy the whole kit. Prep work is really critical for ceramics which last so long. Plan on 10 hrs even if only a few weeks old. If you have a second car - practice on it. If not - the instructions and video’s are good - just go slow and dont speed up as you get confident!

I paid to have Ceramic Coating done on my car after PPF was applied. Very happy with it. I was planning on doing it myself, so I bought some Ceramic Coating, but changed my mind and had a company do both PPF and Ceramic.
Yesterday, I thought I'd do my Rims myself since I already had the Ceramic, so I did it. Lots of prep work, but very easy, but I'm so glad I didn't have to do the entire car. After doing my Rims myself, If I ever get another car and decide to apply Ceramic, I will definitely not do the car myself....$$ well spent getting a professional to do it....IMO...
