Default C8 Orange warning light

Hello everyone

I‘m a very happy owner of a 23 C8 convertible with very low miles.

Take the car to a dealer and have the code read from history to see what it was. Could be nothing, could be something.

hit the OnStar button and ask them what the code is, they can tell you.

Could be so many things 🤷‍♂️….

The car is so complicated… and has countless sensors and systems that are always reading and reacting…. Something maybe got too hot… or there was a pressure drop…. or a faulty sensor thought something was too hot or suffered a pressure drop…

I would stop by the dealer to check the code.

It's a Right Hand Drive, so OnStar may not be available where the OP is located (Great Britain)..

From what I can find, no OnStar in Europe since the end of 2020.

Because the EU has privacy laws that gm can’t comply with under their current Onstar practices.

No, because OnStar in Europe was provided by Vauxhall/Opel. On May 9, 2018, Vauxhall Motors announced that Vauxhall OnStar, alongside Opel OnStar services, would cease to operate after December 31, 2020, following Groupe PSA's purchase of Vauxhall Motors and Opel from General Motors.

I plugged in the OBD reader I bought today and had a P0700 code. That was the only one and happened only once. Hasn’t recurred in the last two short drives. Google says it’s to do woth the DCT gear selection? Hopefully not something that will fail and just needs adjusting ?

i Just read but did not clear the code. I attach the screen and a host of other status screens.

i have emailed ian Allen to ask their advice As I’m driving 600 miles to them back from France.
P0700 is an informational DTC. The DTC indicates an emission related DTC set in K71 Transmission Control Module. But, unless you have another DTC present, there isn't anything to diagnose as far as I can tell from looking at the Service Manual. It may reset on its own after a few ignition cycles if the issue that cause it to set does not happen again.
