Probably need to do the AFM valve relearn, and possibly the NPP relearn if you have that option.
I would check the codes first and see what it says.
A dealership can do this or there are cheap two-way scanners to allow you to do it yourself.
I have the Creader Elite that did the job and a lot of other things that I picked up for $79 on sale. (I think a dealership charges $100)
Here is a thread with links to the tools: Exhaust Relearn Tool - CorvetteForum - Chevrolet Corvette Forum Discussion
You can reset with most OBD testers. Beyond that you may have to have tuning work done. This happened quite frequently with C7s when changing exhaust.
More than likely this is an AFM/NPP valve relearn issue. C8s do not require tunes for catback exhausts or headers. If OP installed aftermarket cats, there are typically workarounds for that, as well.
Had new exhaust installed and engine light came on: just need to know how to turn the light off...
Depends which exhaust you had installed... Catback system alone? Cats? Does it have AFM/NPP valves? Did your car come from the factory with the optional NPP exhaust? Give us the details and we'll get you all sorted out.
