Default Paint help

So I own a 2024 C8 with the 3LT tension blue interior. I would like to do 2 things on my exterior to make the car pop! Paint the calipers to match the tension blue interior, wondering if anybody has done this and what paint color/code did you use? Also want to add a small thin stripe to outline black racing stripes in the tension blue so wondering what vinyl color did you use.

Interesting concept. Good luck finding the right paint and then hope you’ll post some pics.

If nothing else, check with TPS Motorsports (forum vendor) who does a caliper exchange program and can custom match powder coating colors.

I would look into getting the brake pads powder coated rather than painted once you find the color you want.

You can paint the calipers as some have had success using the kit that's available. The best long-term solution is power coating, as suggested above.
I'm not sure I understand your second question regrading the black racing stripe and tension blue vinyl paint. Are you considering paining a racing stripe on your seats?

My car’s exterior currently has factory black racing stripes. I’m looking to outline the racing stripes with a tension blue vinyl stripe next to it. I think the picture will better illustrate. You can see the factory offers black and blue racing stripes but the blue doesn’t match the tension blue interior.

I'd recommend you take your car to the largest wrap shop in your area for them to try to match your seats. The shop I go to has a color selection that will make your head spin.

I did my calipers and effing love them. I think I got them from TPS Motorsport.

I’m crazy busy today, but here’s a pic and feel free to reach out if you have questions. I’ll get back to you when I can.

^ You are way ahead in the game going this route. Painted capers look like painter calipers.

Agreed, finished replacements or powdercoating is the only way I'd go on ours. Paint can be ok on rough finished calipers, but ours have large flat surfaces meant to be finished. Buy once cry once or leave 'em alone.

Proper paint and prep will work well on calipers. As for stripes, consider starting over with a good paint-shop doing whatever you want, but in paint for the whole works, not vinyl.

I agree they look EFFING GREAT!!! I reached out to TPS today, they are backed up because they are waiting for cores which doesn’t affect me because I’m going to have my calipers done. I also like the thin blue stripe on the rim!!
