Default Changed fluids early

My 22 has 8k miles on it (I hope to drive it more).
I had the oil/filter changed yesterday as well as the dct fluid/filter.
early I know.
had the flush dct canister done at 3k, so the canister was due now.
oil change would have been due early July, and 3 year dct late September so I opted for all of them now.
Now my cycle will be oil in one year and dct 3 from now.
didn’t want to make 3 separate trips.
Was fun seeing ALL the inventory at mm!

Not a thing wrong with this! Keeping clean filters & fresh fluids in a piece of mechanical equipment is never a bad thing. I've been over-the-top **** about keeping fresh gear oil in the differentials of my wife's latest Jeep, and always keep quality oil filters + fresh cabin air filters in all our vehicles.

You can not over maintain a C8. Good for you, a car cared for is one worth seeking.

Nothing wrong with early maintenance.

I did my engine oil and DCT filter at 1100 miles. I'll be doing both again out of pocket before my free service at around 7500 miles. I'm at 3k now.

I just did my first oil chang/filter at 3500 miles, I don’t believe it’s important anymore with metalurgy advances to do a 600 mile drain, but I certainly don’t want to go 7500 miles for my first change. I don’t care what the facts are about extended oil longevity, this is just my personal regimen.

Keeping up the maintenance is a good thing. Enjoy your car and I can bet the visual candy in the showroom at MacMulkin was quite enjoyable.

Same here. Just Old School, some would say, but others would say 'prudent'. I've owned the car less than three months, and have nearly 4,500 on it. I feel not unlike a ten-year old with a new mini-bike....

I had the oil/filter and DCT flush/filter done at 4100 miles then again at the required 7500. I now have 14K miles and am considering having the entire DCT fluid and filter replaced. I know I'll have to get it done at the 22.5K mile mark (I think that's the right number) but with the complexity of all the internals I'd rather be proactive about keeping the fluid as clean as possible. Do I "need" to have it done? Maybe not but with what I paid for this car I'd like to do as much as I reasonably can to ensure it keeps running as it has since the day I got it.

I did my dct fluid and filter due to time, not mileage. DCT is every three years.
Tadge said it was due to anti foaming properties breaking down.

My C8 was given to me. The previous owner had the free service done at 1500 miles. I have changed the oil about 250 miles ago. The car has around 5200 miles on it. Looks like the 7500 mile Trans service is going to be on me. Now that seems to be a bit of an overkill.
