Default Ordering question for 2024 orders

For those of you who placed a custom order this year, how long were you in 3000 status?

There are several others that you can find that have great info in them. Most recent ones look to be from order to finish about a month. From the last orders that went 3000 last week we are still sitting. Will probably happen this week.

Examples

2024 Beginning of May Build timeline:
May 4th - Order Placed
May 9th - 3000 Status
May 17th - 3300 Status

2024 Mid May build timeline:
5/16/2024 - Order Placed
5/17/2024 - 2000 Status
5/22/2024 - 3000 Status

There should be one more build timeline at end of May. Estimated to go 2000 on May 31st this Friday I think. So orders and changes need to be in before EOB thursday I think. This is just a guess. So dont quote me, your dealer will give you details.

That is distressing. I ordered on 4/19, and have been at 3000 since 4/30.

Call your dealer rep and find out. If they don't know anything, call Corvette Concierge and see if they do.1 month in 3000 isn't too crazy, but it also is kind of long at this point in the game.

I found another example that may be more like yours. Not sure how the times between 3000 to 3300 happen. Looks like some are quick and some are not. All the examples gave are for Z's, but I dont think that it matters much as there is less of them built. This one took a month between 3000 and 3300. Now you have me worried.....LOL

03/15/24 order at 2000
03/19/24 order at 3000 TPW 4/29/24
04/19/24 order at 3300 TPW 5/6/24
04/26/24 order at 3400 TPW 5/6/24
05/07/24 order at 3800, car produced

You should have been able to get a TPW when the order went to 3000.

I thought so, too, but neither the salesperson nor the inventory manager (who placed the order with me) had any information when I last heard from them. Going to try the concierge today

Corvette Concierge reports that I'm at 3300, but with no TPW as of yet. Not as much progress as I'd like, but it's better than nothing!

Are you cursed when it comes to GM?

I've been wondering that for about a month now.

I had fantastic luck with every GM product since my first (an S10 Blazer when I was 16) and almost every one since then (several Silverado/Sierras, a C4, a C5, and a Trailblazer), but I feel like I may have used up all my good luck with all those vehicles!

I understand. My first GM product was a 1972 Chevy Vega that burned two quarts of oil for every tank of gas. My Dad and I pulled the engine, sent the block to a guy who put sleeves in the piston walls, and that corrected that problem. Other than that I've owned a number of GM vehicles without anything but minor issues on a few of them and five of them were Corvettes including my current C8. I've been following your transmission post and I feel bad for people who go through the dreaded transmission issue.

I don't know why, but choosing a going-away color may be ("MAY") a delay for production. Hope I'm wrong. But then, what else could it be? Except using up all your good luck up until the past car...(laffing WITH you, or at least smiling a bit ). Maybe today or tomorrow the clouds will break and you'll get a number and more direction as to when it'll be built. Good luck!

Well I would have thought that one would still be building allot of them. I was thinking the rare colors may be waiting on a certain week or something to build them all on close out Not sure.

Looks like I saw you getting beat up on the link I posted earlier for tracking cars. Sorry about that. I thought that was the 2024 one. i'm in so many threads trying to figure out when my car will be built.

Here is the correct link for 2024. you can scroll up there to compare where you stand with others. It has to be some option you picked I would think.
